Metallurgy Report

Choose a metal in the periodic table that is commonly used in the industry. In 12-15 pages:

• Explain details about the properties of the metal, how it is recovered from ore, where it is used, why it is industrially important, etc.
• The topical metal report is where you spend most of the time writing about a specific application for a metal or alloy or a specific problem with metals in industry. Examples would be plating of metals, corrosion of metal, wear of metals, additive manufacturing of metals, etc.
• You should discuss your ideas with me before starting to make sure your topic is not too narrow nor too broad to allow good coverage.
