In today’s world of many environmental, social and financial pressures, any project needs to address sustainability considerations. Therefore, it is essential that you identify appropriate sustainability options for your project to enhance its beneficial outcomes.
Activity
An individual report should be provided building on the assessments undertaken in the previous weeks.
Scope of the report
With reference to the chosen project, the report should:
1. Identify specific sustainability considerations that could be incorporated into the project.
2. Provide a brief evaluation of the advantages, limitations and possible constraints to implementing these considerations.
Note:
- Some of the concepts that you discuss may overlap with what was presented in the previous assessments. However, you should use this as an opportunity to further elaborate on what was presented previously. Just copying from previous assessments will be considered as plagiarism.
- New material could be introduced at this stage as your own understanding would further expand with new knowledge being introduced in class.
- Appropriate references should be cited in the text and listed in a separate reference list at the end of the report.
- Wikipedia is not an appropriate technical reference. However, it can be used as a resource to gather basic information and to identify appropriate technical resources.
- Ensuring a good mark
Strictly adhere to the report format given below. Be succinct and precise. Using dot points to present your information is very strongly advised.
Report format
- The report should consist of two sections with each section heading being the same as what has been listed above under ‘Scope of the report’ with equal marks awarded for each of these items;
