Hello, I disagree by saying that the caste system in India was unfair; however, I agree with you that the untouchable policy should be done away with as it yields division among people. The caste system provides a hierarchical structure of social roles endowed with inherent attributes and, more importantly, remain consistent throughout one’s life. A person’s caste has conferred an implicit social status on them through the ages, which has grown from societal obligations to inherited ones. In Indian society, there are several sects and social strata. This is due to the country’s caste system, which explains why it is the case. Caste is based on a person’s occupation, or varna, according to the ancient Vedic system of classification.

I have noted that in India, the caste system is essential in forming the social fabric. Marriage, employment, education, economics, mobility, housing, and politics are just a few instances of how a person’s caste affects their options in many aspects of their lives. It has been historically documented that the stigmatization of Untouchables has had significant economic implications. The employment of untouchability and racism in the Western world has allowed for the rationalization and maintenance of a massive low-cost labor pool. There has also been a reduction in the competition for those things and locations that have traditionally represented authority and prestige, ranging from lands to the clergy to today’s white-collar professions.
