My dream job is working for General Motors. General Motors, as the name, suggests is a renowned automobile company. My dream of one day working among the sales and marketing staff in General Motors is almost turning into a reality. I have received an opportunity to join their Leadership Development Program as a Sales Representative for their flagship Electric range cars, one of the company’s most significant and most promising projects. I will pitch the new “Chevrolet All-Electric Silverado ” to Air Freight Companies embracing the shift to electric cars and building their environmental sustainability strategies. I will be selling o a Business-to-Business context using the face-to-face business function.

On September 16, 1908, General Motors was founded by Flint, Michigan. It is indeed a company that has stood the test of time! The company’s headquarters are in Detroit, Michigan, but it has several outlets worldwide. It is, in fact, the largest automobile manufacturer in the United States. Its subsidiaries include Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, GM Financial, OnStar, Cruise, and other outlets found in different parts of the world. The company ventured into the new Electric Car market with some models that took the market by storm and are now very popular. The company has been known to offer quality products and after-sale services, and with the new range of electric cars, the company realized the demand and improved in all aspects of the game.

The company’s current headquarters are in Schindellegi, Switzerland. The company is ranked second globally in terms of revenue and air freight volumes. Kuehne and Nagel are suitable for this project as it also has a project in line with our vision with the product.

Customer Needs

Kuehne + Nagel has a net-zero program aimed at achieving zero percent carbon emission. Their key objectives in this campaign are;

To maintain effective Carbon Management throughout all operations

Provide environmental-friendly solutions to customers

Procure logistics services based on environmental criteria

Apart from these needs, we understand that the company is also a profit-making enterprise and economic sustainability is critical.
