Read Global Climate Change EETB, page 3-6 and write a report.

Please read the book first, and be careful about citation, this report needs to be submitted to Turnitin.

The report should include a summary and a critical address of the discussion topic. Must be of one-page in length (about 500 words), typed, single spaced, with one-inch margins, using Times Roman 12pt font.

By “a summary and a critical address of the discussion topic,” you need to write a short summary of the discussion topic of that week and add to that your thoughts, comments and reflections about that issue.

The structure of your report should be as followed: Half a page summary of the topic in discussion and half a page your reflections and opinion on that topic.

Definition of Self-concept

Define self-concept in your own words and discuss whether an individual’s self-concept is stable or varies over time and circumstance. Consider whether individuals can change their self-concept by introspection and discuss how the Self-Awareness Theory influenced your overall decision. Provide references from the text and/or any articles you can find via psycARTICLES or EBSCOHost to support your position. For this assignment, you are to read the chapter in the text and any articles you might find of interest in a self-directed search. After reading, it is my expectation that you will present a cogent discussion of the above items.

Assignment Directions:

Your assignment is to research and describe 3 how the seatbelts, airbags and crumple zones of a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu improve a person’s chance of surviving an accident compared to someone in a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air. You will describe how the concepts of impulse and momentum help explain how they work. You may use observations from the video as a part of your description.

For each safety feature, you should:

  1. For each safety feature, you should:
    1. define the safety feature;
    2. explain how the safety feature functions in the vehicle;
    3. discuss each of the variables in the equation F∆t=m∆v and how the safety feature affects them; and
    4. provide references for any research that you did to complete your paragraph (minimum 3 references).

    Assignment Guidelines

    You will have an option in this assignment to either:

    1. Write a paper in which you demonstrate how impulse and momentum apply to the safety features described above;

    Submission Requirements

    1. There is at least 1 paragraph addressing EACH of the 3 safety features (seat belts, air bags and crumple zones) and how impulse and momentum are important to their function;
    2. There are a total of 750 to 1500 words;
    3. There are at least 3 references cited;
    4. The submission demonstrates appropriate grammar and correct spelling.
