List of project titles:
1. A fermentation reactor
2. Heterogeneous reactor (heterogeneous feed and homogeneous catalyst) 3. Fluidised
bed reactor
4. Bi-phasic reactor
5. Membrane reactor
7. Isothermal continuous reactor
8. Hydrogen reactor (a bio-chemical process)
9. Hydrogen reactor (a chemical process)
10. Hydrogen reactor (an electro-hydrolysis process)

The following outline is provided

1.0. General Overview:

Write a critical review of the reaction system (this section should contain an overview of
the reaction system, type of reactor appropriate for your system, present state of the
design of the concerned reactor, reactor functionalities relevent to your system, safety
aspects, and any design and/or operation constrains).
[15% mark]
2.0. Scientific Aspect of the Chemical Reaction System:
Define your reaction system, review all the possible reactions involved in your system.
Highlight the reactions associated with your target product and dominant side reactions.
Discuss the factors that may influence the conversion and product yield.
[30% mark]
3.0. Reactor Design:
Justify your selection of an appropriate reactor for your system. The review of the safety
aspect of the reaction system and reactor design. Write a list of plausible assumptions to
simplify the system. Write design equations. Review design specification and set design
specs for your system. Write appropriate boundary conditions.
[30% mark]
4.0. Results and Discussions:
Write and discuss the results of your findings. Highlight the critical aspects of your system
and your design approach to overcome any difficulties encountered. Discuss design
limitations in terms of scientific, engineering and socio-economic constrain.

to push the design boundaries

Mental health issues and gentrification in Universities

There are two questions, please just answer the questions separately and don’t need to
make connections between those two.
Question 1 – Current Events
An increasing number of college students are reporting that mental health issues-often
anxiety, depression or both-affect their academic work. As these reports increase, demands on campus services such as counseling centers, will likely continue to grow. Do
you feel the need to address students’ mental health issues are the responsibility of the
student, university, or both? Please explain.
Question 2 – UCLA Common Experience
There Goes the Neighborhood, a podcast
(https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/neighborhood) has been selected for 2019-2020.
There Goes the Neighborhood, a podcast about gentrification in Los Angeles (Season 2 of
the podcast is a collaboration between WNYC and KCRW, with a focus on Los Angeles),
lends itself to several important and timely conversations about the city, the arts, racial and
ethnic demographics, small business development and urban America, among other
themes.
What role do you think universities play in the gentrification (see definition of gentrification
below for those who may be unfamiliar with the word) of various “college towns” or
neighborhoods?
Gentrification Definition: Gentrification is a general term used to describe the influx of new
people moving into an existing urban district. The effects of this can include, but are not
limited to: increase in rent and property values, and changes in the district’s character and
culture

Structural Stiffness On Bolted Connection And Cantilever Beam

You are required to provide a theory of structural stiffness on a bolted connection sandwitched between a cantilever beam. Include equations, definitions, figures, etc in your work.  The assignment may be between 5 and 6 pages. Format your work in Harvard style using at least 6 sources.
