Fast food restaurants should post warnings about the dangers of eating their food. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? To children.

The increase in the number of fast food businesses or restaurants has been on the increase in the past few years. This has also come up with the increase of Fast foods in the world as well as in United Arab Emirates. Therefore, this paper will address the why and why not Fast food restaurants in the UAE should consider posting warning signs to their foods in order to warn children about the dangers of the foods.

Based on the facts presented by the ministry related to Heath in UAE, it is clear that the number of effects of fast foods amid the kids or the children has been on the increase in the last five years, this has been attributed to various factors mostly tailored by fast foods, such effects range from obesity to heart diseases. The number of obese children has increase from 30 percent in 2010 to 54 percent in 2013. In addition, the situation is fatal in that the numbers of death related to diseases caused by fast foods effects increase at alarming rates over a period of 5 years (Davis & Carpenter, 2009).

Therefore, due to the above facts the government together with various stakeholders in the health industry suggested that fast food companies should post warning signs to the foods so that children could be able to read and in case able to understand the effects should refrain from the foods for better heath. Ideally it I important that individuals, business organizations such as the fast food business in UAE, and the government to ensure the rights of children are protected. Children are considered as vulnerable to various issue hence not able to define the bad from the good, hence with such notice on the foods they could be able to know what they are eating as well as their effects.

On the other hand, I consider that fast food restaurants should follow suit as other organization such as hard drinks companies that sell alcohol. After the government introduced this issue to alcohol brand, the effects of these drugs to children reduced by 70 percent from 1993 to 2003, hence based on the above example they should follow suit and post notice to their foods to protect children. However, I consider that it is also not just for fast food restaurants to post notice to their food as this is a way they make their sales and posting such notices would hinder the business from hitting its success in profit making.

Not all children are able read and comprehend what such notification or notices have, hence not able to make just judgments to take or not to take or to avoid fast food, thus, I do not see the reason as why Fast Food restaurants should post warning to the foods yet children are not able to comprehend this information (Azzeh, Alhussain & Samra, 2011).

Based on health information on fast foods is that this food are not bad or do not have negative effects if taken at the right time and in the right quantity. There, I consider that regulating fast food restaurants to post warning to the foods yet they only pose danger if taken without control.

I conclude by saying that fast food restaurants should ensure that they accept and abide by law that they should post warning to their food despite the fact that it bears other supporting facts as noted above. This however, should be followed by policies such in case a child is not able to read then an informer should be there to explain the warning message.

I believe that all people whether they are in the majority or the minority are entitled to their own opinion. J. S. Mill, who was an English philosopher, political economist, and civil servant. One of the most influential thinkers in the development of classical liberalism, he contributed extensively to social theory, political theory, and political economy. Dubbed “the most prominent English-speaking philosopher of the nineteenth century”, he considered freedom to explain the freedom of the citizen in contrast to unrestricted state and social power.

First, there is the criticism that, while people might be mistaken, they also have a obligation to act on their “conscious conviction.” If people are convinced that they are correct, they will be cowardly not to act on that belief and to encourage doctrines to be articulated that they feel would harm mankind. Mill answered that the only way in which a person can be sure that he is correct is if there is full freedom to question and deny his views. Humans have the potential to correct their errors, but only through experience and debate. Human opinion is of importance only in so long as people are open to critique. Thus, the only way a person can be confident that he or she is correct is when he or she is continually open to alternative opinions; there must be a standing invitation to attempt to disprove his or her views.

The opinion that the authority is attempting to suppress might be valid. Many that wish to eradicate it, of course, reject its truth; but they are not infallible. They have no right to settle the matter for all humanity, and to remove any single citizen from the means of judgement. To decline to consider an argument, since they are convinced that it is wrong, is to believe that their confidence is the same as absolute certainty. All the silence of the debate is the presumption of infallibility. It could be permitted to be condemned on the grounds of this common statement, not the worse for being common. Mill claims that it is a failure to stifle dissident views in the interests of common good. He writes about Socrates and Jesus Christ, two illustrious men in history who were executed for blasphemy. Mill claims that if one is to recognize the validity of punishing non-religious views, we must also accept that one will also be justified in punishing Christianity.

fast food restaurant

Five Guys is a fast food restaurant chain selling burgers, hot dogs and French fries located in Unites States. Five Guys have very different philosophy compared to its peers. The company is more quality focused and believes in word of mouth publicity. Company philosophy is to be simple and quality focused and believes that if the product is good customers will automatically be generated. Thus unlike its peer it adopted no marketing and publicity stinks and believes in word of mouth publicity. The layout of the stores is also very simple and no fancy decoration or environment. The idea was to focus on cleanliness and neatness and they focused on it. They uses best ingredient and made no compromise their thus serving their customer with best possible product and sticking to their virtues. Their service was much superior compared to any other food joint and in order to motivate in performing so they paid their staffs much more than the industry pay. They also provided medical and insurance facility to the employees further motivating them towards the work and increasing their loyalty. Thus compared to its peer’s company philosophy was to stick to basics and concentrate on service, cleanliness, quality product rather than fancy layout and conducting other marketing activity. For them customers are their marketing channels and their focuses was to satisfy them.
