According to Karl Marl, the lowly paid and low class workers (the proletariat), in the society were deemed to realize their misfortune as it originated from the capitalists and subsequently rise up against all odds to overthrow the inherent oppressors. The conflict between the workers and the company owners is emergent on the dissatisfaction of the workers due to the poor rewards for their work and undesirable working conditions. On contrary, the employers are prompted by greed to amass additional wealth and maintain profits flowing at peak rate. The employees are also exhibited to maximize or exploit the workers to produce peak profits. The comprehension of these terms exposed a state referred to class consciousness. After understanding of his lowly class the workers are hence compelled to undertake reversion of the society and establishment of a socialism structure. The topics are close to the subjective dimension as (the proletariat) is notable to derive from the epi-centre of society. The position of the workers in is considerably notable as victims of the bourgeoisie. Marx reiterates that workers are likely to develop a class conscious feeling and emotion in countering the intention of the rich in the society.

The eminent contradiction between the workers and the capitalist would eventually emanate from the perpetual contradiction regarding to the production relations and subsequent rewards availed to every segment of industry. The significant division of labor is acknowledged as the private ownership of the entire working property by the capitalists disregarding the (the proletariat). The concept of alienation acknowledged in the production process revolves around the facilitating the neglect of the worker from contemporary production of labor. Further, the challenge leads to the worker being expelled from the whole process of production and eventual expulsion from humanity. In most cases, the class consciousness case creates challenging scenario between the workers as typically the consolidated sharing of class is daunting. An exposure of the consequential share class is formation of the trade unions which were established to fend for workers exploitation . According Marx, social wellbeing of men has much more effects on determining their being than consciousness.

Jazz

The University of Kentucky brings together many jazz ensembles, and Duelity was one of the performances of the event. The band was made up of about fifteen members playing different instruments. These instruments include trumpets, flutes, drums, piano, and saxophone. These instruments together produced a fantastic performance that kept the audience enthralled for its duration. The players were very passionate and obviously very skilled. From watching them play, the audience can tell that they have had countless hours of practice to produced harmonized tunes that flow into each other effortlessly. The various instruments also complimented each other. The director of the ensemble ensured that the members hit all the right notes and guided the instrumentalists throughout their performance.

There are a few instances of audience participation. The video was taken from somewhere among the audience, and one can hear their response. They clap and cheer enthusiastically at various intervals during the performance. At the end of solo performances we can also see their appreciations there were cheers from the crowd. At the end, the audience as well as the director clapped and cheered showing that they had enjoyed the show immensely.

There were two amazing solo performances within the whole performance. The first was by a young man playing the flute. His performance was accompanied by drums and the piano. What was most mesmerizing about it was the high notes that he hit with his flute. It was also quite impressive how he moved from the high notes to the lowest while holding his own. He did not falter at any point, and the rest of the band took joined him seamlessly afterward. Towards the end, another gentleman also had a brief solo on a trumpet. The other trumpet players allowed him to take over briefly and just like the flute; he delivered a sterling performance with dramatic notes.

On the whole, I would say that the event was a huge success. The band was awe-inspiring and had intimate knowledge of their instruments. Every single member of the group played their instrument to perfection resulting in a harmonized sound. All the players were well versed with their pieces because there were no mishaps or interruptions at all. Throughout the performance, we can hear the audience give a positive response by either clapping or cheering. The band members were also very confident. Their director kept leading them, but it is also evident that they had practiced their performance ahead of time.

I would recommend the jazz concert to anyone. The music is quite entertaining and lasts only for a short while ensuring that the audience does not get bored. What I loved most about it were the cheerful band and director as well as the audience. Everyone seemed excited to hear the music, and this is obvious from their claps and cheers. A receptive and appreciative audience is very encouraging for the band, and it helps them become more confident and deliver an authentic performance. I saw nothing wrong with the whole performance, and I would definitely enjoy a repeat of the entire thing.

Jazz music is a unique genre that involves several instruments. Each of them requires considerable skill and practice. Individual instrumentalists then have to learn to work together to deliver a harmonized sound as per their desired music. The University of Kentucky concert is one of the best jazz experiences I have heard. I would encourage jazz lovers as well as newbies to attend the show or any other jazz concert to get a taste of the unique and spectacular sounds of different instruments.

The Universe Cycle

The Universe Cycle

The resource that I used in identifying my STEM project was from the website stem.or.uk, a website that features STEM learning. The Universe Cycle is one of the topics that can be taught to children age 6-8 in unified science curriculum program. The topic is divided into four subtopics The earth- under this subtopic, students will be exposed to activities that will enable them to understand how the earth was formed and the physical shape of the earth. Geography- basically emphasizes on map reading skills. The universe- explore activities and projects in the solar systems. Look at the processes involved and future projects.

Objectives

By the end of this study, students should be able to:

Locate different geographical positions on the map.

Explain different phases of the moon that is full, half, crescent and gibbous moon by manipulating models.

Use developing models to explain the movements of the earth, moon and sun.

Understand the relationship between the earth, moon and the sun and explain their various locations.

Our home planet is the third from the sun. It is the only planet that is known to be inhabited by living things. This is because the earth has favourable conditions that are able to support life. Water, air and favourable temperatures make the earth suitable for living things. The other planets are either too hot. This is for those planets which are close to the sun. The planets that are far away from the sun are too cold.

The earth is the fifth largest planet in the solar system. It is the only planet in the solar system with liquid water. There are four planets which are close to the earth. The earth is largest planet of the four. It is made of metal and rock. The other planets are named after Greek gods and goddesses. The earth is the only planet that has a Germanic word which means the ground. It is estimated that the earth is about 93 million miles from the sun. The earth revolves 24 hours every day 365 days a year. The revolution of the earth is what causes day and night.

Student Activities

Time required- 30 minutes

The following material will be needed to engage the students and help them understand the topic. As students engage in the activity they will be able to achieve the objectives of the study.

Computer with access to internet

Projector

Small group of three to four students

Plastic spoons

Oreo cookies or a close substitute

Coloured magic markers and black sharp pens

Paper towels

World map

Construction paper

Explanation

Using the above materials, students should construct a chart with moon phases using the Oreos. The icing on the Oreos should be scrapped off and shaped to represent the various phases of the moon.

The cookies should be arranged in a linear fashion on the construction paper to represent the eight moon phases.

Use the markers to draw representations of the earth and the sun. Use directional arrows to demonstrate each lunar phase.

The teacher will then demonstrate the orbital relationship that exists between the sun, moon and the earth. Get the groups of students to understand this concept by using the provided materials to represent each celestial body.

As students undertake this activity, the teacher should pause to ask questions and respond to corresponding questions from the students.

By the end of the activity and discussion students should be able to know

Whether the earth rotates in the same direction as the moon or whether it moves in a counter clockwise manner.

Whether the moon orbits around the earth or the sun.

Formation of a solar eclipse using the above representation.

In involving children with fine motor delay a modification in the activity is instead of using oreo cookies then they can use Play-dough and putty. This is because play-dough and putty improves a child motor skill as they can be able to stretch, pinch and roll. For our project they will be required to roll into different sizes and but they have to be circular in shape
