Concert Report
This report will focus on “Rock Concert Live: RockWeller at RockFest” that took place in Singapore on March 12, 2020. This concert was one of the exceptional, refined, and elegant experiences of my lifetime. The stage was set up to allow the musicians to move around freely and play the musical instruments without obstructing one another. Furthermore, its setup was exceptional, such that the speakers and the lighting were set in a manner that would not interfere with the view of the band by the audience. One notable attribute that impressed me was the background that illuminations of different changing colors ranging from blue, brown, maroon, among other colors that created the mood for the different songs performed that day. The songs performed during the concert include “Stay Away, Hate! Pain! Anger! Blame!, Graceland, The Cure, and Bigger! Faster! Louder!” The primary instruments used during the concert include guitars, drums, and bass.
The performers created a harmonious synchronization between the lead singer and the instrumentalists. Olga, the lead singer demonstrated a breathtaking and audible performance with a clear connection with the instruments being played. Besides, she ensured that the crowd was involved in all performances which made the concert even lively. Even though nearly half of the concert was instrumentals while the other half was Olga singing, it could not go unnoticed that the performers managed the pitch to mark the climax of the songs and allow the audience to move along with the songs. For instance, Olga would lower her voice to allow the audience to sing along and raise her tone accordingly to ensure the audience felt the intensity of the performance. This was reinforced by the use of amplified electric guitars that synchronized their performances to create beautiful instrumentals.
There was constant communication between the performers and the audiences which helped attract their attention and made them feel involved in the performances. In particular, Olga occasionally appreciated the presence of the audience and allowed them to cheer and clap before moving on to the next song. This portrayed the dedication the band had towards entertaining its audience and making sure to keep them abreast. Their concert intensified my love and appreciation for rock music especially looking at the drummer and guitarists playing their instruments as well as the vocals. The sounds they gave off were the main highlight of the concert as they assisted to get the right melody and harmony in the different songs performed during the concert.
Personally, I am much attracted to rock music for its instrumentals, and as such, poor performance by the instrumentalists can create a profound negative experience. I would then say that the performers knew what they were doing which they were exceptionally good. Olga’s performance was reinforced with tempos of medium-fast with the variations of loud and very loud to keep the audience more attentive and interested. Notably, rock music does not necessitate uniformity in rhythm which allows the performers and the audience to respond to the flow of the music however they deemed fit. This gives people the anonymity to do whatever makes them enjoy the performance more. Considering the different music concerts I have attended in the past, “Rock Concert Live: RockWeller at RockFest” so far due to the choice of music that maintained the same intensity from one performance to another.

IntroductionData types are set of values and operations that are defined on those values. Various data types are supported by MYSQL. There are different data types which determine the operation, values, meaning of data, and how the values of the data type are stored. The paper will therefore summarize different data types and giving examples of each.
Data TypesBased on the variable of data types, the function of operating system is to allocate the memory and decide on what should be stored in the reserved memory. When different data types are assigned to variables, the integers, decimals, or characters which are example of data types can be stored in those variables. The common data types used includes; integers, Booleans, characters, floating-point numbers and strings ( Bidoit & Choppie,2005).
Character Data typeThe Char datatype specifies the fixed-length character string. The char data type is a single 16-bit Unicode character used to store any character where the minimum value is zero and the maximum value is about 65,535 inclusive. The values stored in the char column should have the length that is specified by the size. The examples of character datatype include; letters, for example; char letterA=’A’, Numerical digits as well as common punctuation marks. The notion also involves control characters that tend not to correspond to some natural language symbols, but responds to other bits of the information used in processing text in more languages.
Boolean data typeThe Boolean data type also known as logical data type is a type of data type that contains two values that are denoted to be true or false that represents the truth values of Boolean algebra. The Boolean data type only represents the one bit of information; however there are two possible values: TRUE and FALSE and are mainly used for the simple flags that can track true/false conditions, default value being False. An example of Boolean data type include; Boolean one=true.
Integer data typeIntegers are integral data type representing finite subsets of mathematical integers. They tend to be of different sizes and may either contain negative values or not. Integers are a group of binary digits when represented in a computer, but their sizes vary within those computers. The Int data type has 32-bit that are signed two’s complement integer, the minimum value being -2^31, and maximum value is 2^31-1, while default being 0. The Int is usually used for default data type representing integral values. An example of integer data type include: int a = 1000000, int b = – 2000000.
Float data typesFloat data types normally describes the methods used to represent the real numbers in order to support the wide ranges of values. Float data types are single-precision 32-bit floating point that is mainly used for saving the memory in larger arrays of the floating point numbers. The float data types cannot be used for précised values for example currency, because its default value is 0.0f. An example of float data type include: float f1 = 234.5f.
String data typeStrings are sequence of characters. They are understood to be data types that are implemented as bytes as well as an array which stores sequenced elements using character encoding. The string data types are stored as sequence of 16-bit (2-byte) unsigned numbers that ranges from 0- 65535, where each number assigned represents the single Unicode characters. Strings is able to contain about 2 billion Unicode characters (2^ 31) ( Bidoit & Choppie,2005).

Concert Report #2
The concert that I attended was the Berkeley Baroque Strings, that was held at St. Clément’s Episcopal Church, Parish Hall. The concert was held on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 as from 7:30 pm. The entire performance of the concert was led by Kati Kyme, the music director, with a band of members playing the instrumentations. The main instrumentation in the concert were the violin, viola, cello, violone, and the harpsichord. During the concert, there were many repertoires performed consisting of different titles and artists as well. Some of the titles and their respective composers at the concert include: Concerto in F Major, RV 284 by Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), Concerto in d minor, D 28 by Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770), Concerto in A Major, RV 519 by Vivaldi, Concerto in d minor, BWV 1043 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) and concerto in G Major by Georg Philip Telemann. After a brief intermission, other titles were played and these included Concerto in G Major by Porpora, Concerto in D Major, RV 511 by Vivaldi, Concerto in A Major, D 91 by Tartini and the final piece in accordance with the schedule was Brandenburg Concerto #5 in D major, BWV 1050 by Bach.
Despite all the listings, only six titles were played. The concerto in F Major, RV 284 by Vivaldi was done by Katie Kyme, while Margret Tylor led the violin, the sound of the violin was dominant, and the pitch was high. Concerto A Major, RV 519 by Vivaldi had its instrumentation led by Kassandra Klassy and Robin Easterbrook who played the violins. The piece as well is high pitched maintaining the same pitch all through. Concerto in d minor, BMV 1043 by JohannBach had the main instruments as the cello played by sister Barbara Swarzenski and violin led by sister Annette Swarzenski. The piece started in low tone maintaining the same key throughout the composition and was more of a meditation piece.
Concerto G Major by Georg Philip Telemann (1681-1767) was the other piece performed by Katie Kyme, and the viola was led by Nori Hudson. The tonality of the piece began slowly picking at an interval and thus varied throughout the title, with the violin sound being in dominance. Concerto in G Major by Porpera had the cello as the main instrumentation led by Katrine Gray, and it was a low pitched piece. Concerto in D Major, RV 511by Vilvadi was the last title that was played by Katie Kyme. The main instrumentations were the violins led by Titia Martin and Paula White, and so the dominant sound was that of the violin. The piece had a high key maintaining the same rhythm throughout the title.
The concert relates much with what I have learned in the course; a single mood characterizes the Baroque music throughout the title while major and minor keys replace the modes. The same characteristics are evident in the pieces performed in the concert and therefore easy to relate to the Baroque music that existed between the period 1600-1750. I enjoyed the concert fully, the attendance was full, and everyone else seemed to be carried by the strings. The mood of the concert as well was relaxing and therefore enjoyed every bit of it.
