Cannibalism Through Love
The book Perfume: the story of a murderer by Patrick Sūskind is one of its kind since it embodies a vice and a value. Both love and murder are put together, contrasted and compared and in fact with a closer look it seems like all is fine for Jean-Baptiste Grenouille to kill since he is just desperately looking for a scent from girls that he likes their scent. Cannibalism even though totally against the values of humanity and any moral principle of the time of the setting of the book is forgiven in the book when the population realizes that the young man was just desperately in love and this is mesmerizing because forgiveness and even the desire of the father of the girl to adopt jean are not expected. The final part of the novel is indeed difficult to interpret. The human beings in that time as depicted in the novel are caring and loving. However, a society that allows cannibalism and death in the name of love cannot be judged in a positive way. It is a confusing issue as death and love can never be reconciled.
Jean wants love and he does not get it. He seeks love through his special gift as a perfumer and tries to smell different girls whom he thinks are perfect for him. However, it does not end well because the more he tries to get the girls the more he continues killing. He develops an art of collecting the perfumes of girls that he likes after his first encounter that does not go so well. The first time he smells a girl who is a virgin across the city and tracks her down. He kills her in order to collect her scent and this proves to be difficult. Later he discovers another girl and tries to collect her scent as well and he kills her then holds her until the scent disappears. Finally, he realizes that he doesn’t have a scent and tries to make one for himself. These efforts are all geared towards being liked and making himself the superhuman in the human society. He wants to get attention and love but the methods he uses to attain this are very questionable. Therefore, the story of jean is a metaphor and it is a complicated one.

According to the society,
According to the society, men and women view benefits of a marriage differently. Men typically see the benefits as that they can have children while women see marriage as a way to build their social and financial stability. Most people believe that these two views are mutually exclusive, but is this true? Many people argue that it is not true and that both sexes would benefit from a relationship. However, there are still many benefits of marriage for men like being able to be part of an extended family and prestige in society.
The structural characteristics of marriage include, social status, religion, race ethnicity, and age at marriage. These characteristics impact the marriage in various ways. For instance, the social status of the family can affect how their children will be treated, due to respectability politics. Also, religion can impact how people view marriage as well such as in Hindu society where arranged marriages are more common than other religious groups.
When it comes to gender differences and marital satisfaction men and women both have different roles, but they are expected to work together in all aspects of a marriage. In order for these differences to be worked around it requires communication which is difficult since men and women often interpret conversation differently. It’s important that gender differences are looked at before planning a marriage because failure to do so could cause problems down the road.
My personal definition of love is the feeling you have for another person that makes you want to be close to them and do anything for them. It is a transcendent feeling, one where your heart aches every time you are apart from the other person. The “Principle of Least Interest” suggests that the person who is least interested in maintaining a relationship can most easily walk away from the relationship. When applied to romantic relationships, the person who has no interest in maintaining the relationship can break off the relationship without a second thought.
In my experience, “Principle of Least Interest” is more applicable when people are dating and not yet committed, as breaking up becomes more difficult when you have a history together. If you have been dating for a while and decide to call it quits, it can be difficult because you will both likely want what’s best- for yourselves as well as for each other.
Cohabitation refers to an arrangement where two people are living together but are not married. It is generally the non-marital or informal living situation in which two unmarried or cohabiting people share the same residence, either on a permanent basis or for an indeterminate amount of time. The term often carries overtones of casualness, convenience and lack of permanence. Depending on cultural context, there may be different definitions for what constitutes cohabitation and what rights are afforded to each party during that arrangement. Sometimes a person who is not married may use the word “cohabitation” to refer to any type of living arrangement with another person or persons outside marriage and sometimes it may encompass only those arrangements that are characterized by some certainty about the future duration.
Can you elaborate on how COVID-19 affect your chosen company
Can you elaborate on how COVID-19 affect your chosen company?
The coronavirus epidemic, which has severely hurt the world economy, has had a negative impact on the shipping sector globally. Almost all nations heavily depend on the shipping sector as a vital link in the supply chain for the great majority of businesses. Some of the effects of the epidemic in Qiaolian include the following:
1. Port closures
Ports have been closed during quarantine periods and to protect the workers’ health. A few restrictions have also been put into place, such as the ban on marine vessel entry into several countries, which forced these boats to remain at sea without a port of destination. International maritime transportation infrastructures are in disarray as a result of certain jurisdictions’ restrictions or outright bans on ship admission.
2. decreased demand for shipping
The danger of COVID-19 spreading is being reduced by each country’s capable health authorities, which has impeded transnational trade in products and commodities. All of these items, which were formerly simple to transport by ship or other marine vehicle, must now adhere to a predetermined set of norms and guidelines. The delays brought on by quarantine periods have further decreased the demand for such goods. Due to the 14-day waiting period or the waiting period determined by the relevant authorities in each nation, perishable commodities cannot be transferred.
3. Conflicts between owners and charters
As a consequence of the lost time and money, several types of conflicts are developing between the owners and charters of vessels that are chartered by charters. Disagreements over the duration of the rental of such boats occur when a charter is permitted for a certain amount of time, but that period is later ended due to an act of God.
4. Conflict resolution in idle time
Owners rent out their ships to charters for a certain rate and time. If this window of time is passed, more charges will be imposed. COVID-19 has made it particularly difficult to resolve the issue during this time period due to the boats’ inability to reach specific ports, forcing the parties to contribute to the payment of disputed extra expenses. These expenses are not paid as a result of force majeure, costing the parties money.
According to your SWOT analysis, which factor is the most important one for the future development of Zhuhai Qiaolian Overseas Consulting?
The most important feature is competition. I believe that how Qiaolian responds to competition today determines how and whether it will be able to expand, compete on a national and international level, or pursue future opportunities in the shipping sector. Competition in the market that is both healthy and intense is essential to the proper operation of any business. When businesses are forced to compete for consumers, it often results in cheaper costs, superior quality products and services, more variety, and increased levels of innovation. This is shown by fundamental economic theory.
You mentioned some recommendations for your case. In your opinion, which one is the most urgent one for Zhuhai Qiaolian Overseas Consulting?
The most urgent recommendation for Qiaolian is addressing the issue of change and getting over the issues linked to change. Change management will be a core competence for the organization as it begins to prepare for the next phase of competition and restructuring post-covid.
