What skills do you feel this assignment helped you to develop the most?
In this assignment, I feel that I gained the ability to synthesize concepts, to match content to situations, and to present information in a concise manner without leaving out critical information and points. The first important skill that the assignment helped me to develop is research and organization. Chapter 4 was fairly wide and required thorough research and organization of content to answer assignment questions. My analytical skills improved significantly through practice. Secondly, matching content to situations was a sill that was required for the assignment. This skill stems from effective communication that enabled me to present my findings in a way that is well-defined and coherent. Lastly, the assignment developed an ability to summarize content without losing critical information. For example, in defining the rational choice theory before a crime is committed, one must mention issues about the reward and punishment weighing that occurs in a perpetrators mind. Through this assignment, I learned to note down critical points and key issues in a summarized format. Throughout chapter 4, specifically in learning about the rational choice theory, I learned that a majority of human decisions are not spontaneous but a result of thoughtful and deliberate planning. Siegel presented crime as having many motivations and concluded that criminals make a choice based on a rational thought of weighing the rewards of their actions against possible risks involved.
What would you change about the way you wrote this paper/did this assignment? (Think in terms of the time, place, and ways in which you organized your project.)
One thing I would change about the way I wrote this assignment is the time I dedicated to reading the main article by Siegel. I would allocate more time to reading the book, perform my own analysis, and then reflect back to the requirements of the assignment. I still feel like I missed out on certain important elements of the rational choice theory that were mentioned. I also think I would change my approach to starting with reading the assignment requirements before trying to use the book to answer the questions. I think reading through the requirements and the rubric would help me to know what is required, relate it to the main concepts, and know exactly what to include or exclude in providing an analysis of the theory. I would, therefore, need more time, allocate a little bit more for the reading, and then use other recommended class materials to add weight to my argument. The organization of my final presentation would also change a bit. I would begin by noting down the main theoretical underpinning and then defining it according to Siegel. I would then provide my understanding of the same, and relate it to a real life situation as an example. Overall, I feel like every other concept of the assignment came out as I expected and according to the requirements.

Description
With the upcoming world cup 2010, the production of caps with a universal identity will be a good business venture. The idea is born out of the fact that a cap is unisex and is a wear that is readily accepted by most of the world population. This “1 Goal 1 World Cup” product is therefore suitable for males, females either grown ups or children. This is more so because almost all of the world population will be represented and a need to be associated with this one time event will extend not only to the participants and in-field fans, but to people all over the world. Africa which is the host of the games experiences hot weather, and these caps will be useful in protection from the scorching sun to the fans in the field. The concept of “1 goal” will be a welcome idea to all those philanthropic individuals with a call to help ailing Africa in educating her children.
Timing
The production of these caps takes place in the month of May onwards up to the end of the World Cup in July. In order to make sure that the product does not lose credibility, the announcement of the product takes place in June and this means that it will be ready for all interested.
Product image
The product is expected to bring out an image of cheap but useful and humanitarian. The objective of selecting a cap and branding it is that it is fairly affordable by wider customer range and also the fact that it will be useful in protection from the Africa’s scorching sun. The association with 1 Goal Campaign is to emphasize the humanitarian grounds that can be met especially now that the world cup brings the world together.
Supplies and Materials
Since caps are not a new product in the market in America, the availability of materials and the supply is guaranteed. The branding is rather simple and time efficient.
Testing
The first two weeks of the month of May are set apart as a test-market period for the product. This is to make sure that the caps have the features that the customers like. It is also the time to know whether the pricing is appropriate. It is also a time to introduce the distributors to value their effectiveness. Ideas from the customers will be of great value in improving the product for more sales
Distribution
The product shall be distributed and sold by different independent representatives in various cities in the world. All members in the distribution channel are convinced that this product will be a big sale since the world cup is a one-time event and very few want to miss it.
Diversity of the Product
The “1 Goal 1 World Cup” product will be diversified in the sense that in addition to the brand name “1 Goal 1 World Cup: Pro- education for all” there will be more customized products to bring a personal touch and identity. Such will include “1 Goal 1 World Cup: I am American and Pro-education for all.
Promotion
The internet will be an effective tool in promoting and advertising this product since it is a universal product and most of the world accesses the internet and this intended to be a global launch. Samples for the product especially to destitute children will be a good tool for advertisement in creating a philanthropic feeling among customers.
It will be also outlined in the 1 Goal campaign website since most of the revenue from the product will go to this campaign which is in the front line in promoting education to all African children.
Pricing / Value Perception
In order to cover the range of our target, prices will be determined by where you are buying the product. Whereas it is expected to sell more in Africa, the price target in America for example will be higher than in Africa. “1 Goal 1 World Cup: Pro- education for all” is a new product that is designed to sell over the world and at the same time raise funds for the underprivileged in society.

Psychology Comparison
Psychology means the scientific study of behavior and mental process. I’ve learned a lot through the classes taken. In the few days you realize how much more there is to the subject. Psychology has to do with science, behavior, and mental process. Some of the first people to explore Psychology were Aristotle and Socrates. Aristotle is responsible for the theoretical and philosophical framework that contributed to psychology’s earliest beginning. Socrates field was philosophy, he was known most for the development of Socratic method. The theory says if something can not be proven wrong it must be true. Another person who explored psychology is Wilhelm Wundt who was also the father of psychology. Psychology has multiple ethics, biological components, and types of learning. It also has to do with memory and being conscious.
What Have You Learned?
Before this class I believed that psychology had only to do with emotions. Psychology plays an important part of science that attempts to keep people sane. In this class I have learned about the different types of psychology. Later in the class I learned that it can also be the study of the brain, emotions, disorders, and others. Surprisingly psychology may also refer to love, stress, control and other topics that can allow people to learn, and process things about themselves. I believe the mind creates a balance between all of the pieces of our bodies allowing people a stable working body.

Lastly, there are lessons that I found amusing and interesting. The Terri Schiavo debate was interesting and my favorite lesson we have done. The video first shown on the Terri Schiavo case, I agreed with the parents and the discussions they were making. Though after the research I understood the husband and agreed with him and his decisions.
