The earth’s capacity
Individuals initially regarded the earth as a space that contains infinite capacity for any kind of population. As the world progressed, human beings attained fears of overpopulation. Human overpopulation occurs when a given population exceeds the carrying capacity of the respective region. Some earlier intellectuals warned of overpopulation as a threat to food supply that can sustain human beings. In as much as the current world population is increasing at a high rate, the earth can only sustain 20 billion people.
The threat of inhabitable places means that the capacity for world population is limited. The earth contains certain places that have extreme conditions. For instance, certain regions are extremely cold while certain areas are exceedingly hot. These extreme temperatures cannot sustain life because human bodies cannot easily adapt to such conditions. Existence of natural disasters, such as hurricane, limits the possibility of increasing population in given areas. It is crucial to highlight that a major part of the earth contains water. Some regions exist in excluded zones that constrain the possibility of transport for sharing of resources. This provides a limitation to possibility of open spaces that additional individuals could occupy.
The earth contains dwindling resources that cannot allow for additional population. It is essential to highlight that the survival of the human population relies on the distribution of resources that prop human life. As individuals overexploit resources for wealth and sustenance, the amount and quality of such resources dwindle. It is notable that technology possesses its limits in harnessing and modifying resources for incessant use in the earth. This presents a worrying scenario as world resources reach the peak of their utilization. For instance, soil, as a means towards agriculture, possesses fertility that decline on continuous usage. As farmers turn to fertilizers, the soil reaches its capacity for handling excessive chemicals (Moore, 2009). Sources of energy, such as oil, share excess usage in the world thereby threatening their existence in the future.
Climate change is a threat to possibilities of additional population on the earth. Climate change is a phenomenon that affects elements for human survival in the world. It is crucial to highlight that climate change entails unpredictable weather patterns that will affect the production of food. As temperature surge, through global warming, there will be additional diseases and conditions (Swedin, 2005). These conditions will increase the mortality rate and limit conception in mothers. Global warming is a challenging phenomenon because the number of industries continues surging in the world. Climate change will also constrain the harnessing of resources such as oil and hydroelectric power. This is a scenario that limits the production of materials that support human existence.
It is evident that the earth can only sustain 10 billion people in spite of the idea that human population is increasing at a considerable rate. The existence of the earth’s inhabitable places suggests that there could be limited space for additional individuals in the world. Certain places share extreme conditions and disasters that limit the possibility for life. A major part of the earth’s space consists of water thereby professing a limited space for additional individuals. The earth contains dwindling resources that are only able to support fewer people. Climate change manifests as a significant challenge to human life since it affects the production of food and create inhabitable conditions in the earth. These factors suggest that the earth can only sustain 20 billion people.

Software vendors do offer scaled level of support features to their clients in order to help their clients use the purchased software optimally. A software required for a system that is going to be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by over 500,000 users per day requires a lot of support from the software vendor. This is because the software is going to be used in a busy system that runs 24 hours a day .Considering the number of people served by the system daily, any problem with the software will cause a lot of problems to the software buyer delays to the users of that particular system.
The first important feature that requires support of the software vendor is the database, whether several or single. The software vendor should be able to enlighten the client about the database as this is going to be the core of the system. It is going to store and manage all data fed into the system. The other support feature necessary is the operating system that is to be used with the software. The vendor should be able to enlighten the client on the best supported operating system to be used. The software vendor should therefore enlighten the client about the system database and also provide the client with any updates on that particular software so as to avoid system failure. Software vendors should additionally provide installation and training services for that purchased software. This will enable the buyer and the staff that is going to use the software to fully understand it. The seller should be ready to answer any technical question regarding the use of the software. They should moreover train the consumer on how to detect and correct errors in the software database(s).
Finally, it is very important that vendors provide the purchaser of the software with a demo that will guide the client on various aspects of software. This enables the buyer to fully understand more about the software without necessarily having to come back to the vendor for technical support and clarification .These demos can as well be accompanied with online installation and training services to the client of the software.

Chapter 27
The early nineteen hundreds were a significant time for the United States. The country had grown into its own due to the integration of different settlers. One of the events that took center stage was the civil war and the reconstruction of the south. This took a toll on the country making the citizens focus their energy on other factors. This changed the dynamics in that the country placed less emphasis on politics and more on social changes.
Most individuals invested in the increased technological knowhow, urbanization and industrialization. This was ideal for the growth and sustainability of the country due to the focus on the economy. The country had entered a new phase that encouraged production of goods and services. The country thus increased its rate of production which was reflective of the GDP. Most of these policies were a result of the progressivism movement that encouraged the development of the citizens.
The government had to maintain these ideologies so that the country could reach its expected target. One of the ways the citizens were kept in line was through the legalization of some of the social activities such as buying and selling of alcohol. This form of governance resulted in the improvement of public facilities such as housing, infrastructures and schools. The policies were well received by the country for a considerable amount of time. The country however began to change their opinion of Wilson’s policies due to the change in culture. This may have been one of the factors for the election of Warren Harding in the next general election.
Chapter 31
I945 was a monumental time in the history of the western world. The Second World War had just ended resulting in the creation of two political blocks. The leaders of the two blocks were mainly the United States and the Soviet Union. The two sides could not agree on the political ideologies to adopt. This led to the creation of alliances that determined the success of the blocks. The world was not ready for another war due to the effects it had on the entire globe.
One of the ways that the sides could solve this issue was to come up with another strategy. This led to the introduction of the cold war that saw the fight between the two blocks without the use of arms and ammunition. The United States had formed alliances with countries such as the United Kingdom and France. This left the Soviet Union with few allies due to its collapse. The cold war saw the fight for countries that did not have a side in terms of political allegiance. One of the targets in this case was Africa and different parts of Asia and Europe
America had adopted a democratic system of governance which encourages a multiparty state and an open market. The Soviet Union on the other hand embraced a socialist government which encouraged a unitary state that discouraged an open market. After the end of the cold war, both blocks agreed to settle for international peace and understanding. This led to the formation of further reforms which included the conduct of all the countries. America continues to spread the democratic way of life making it one of the strongest advocates of the voice of the public.
