Section II:
Employment and training
I received an invitation as a contract administrator, a post I have to confess I have never handled before. In this particular request for an interview, I experienced higher degree of internship which offers apprentice situations in relation to interview sessions. Indeed, there is a much centralized shift from the traditional approach of internship to a more modern and liberal approach. Thus, in the first day of the interview, my hosts examined whether I was in a position to apply academic knowledge into a business setting. Secondly, as part of contract administration, my interviewers examined whether I was in a position of performing tasks, working on project, and as well, completion of job learning experiences. Thirdly, my interviewers examined whether I was in a better position of testing a tentative career choice. Fourthly, the interview process sought to investigate whether there was a possibility of performing tasks, working on projects, and as well conducting a job learning experience which relates to business discipline.
Hence in this regard, the testing goal was geared to examine whether there was derivate ability to realize a coherent Goal Achievement stratagem. In fact, the first section of these orientations focused on the possibility of achieving internship goals which would relate directly to my future career. It was in line with this calling that I realized that the company was offering a philanthropic and benevolent prerequisite and that concept mattered. Also, this company was decisive to my career since its approach was based on providing high-end services with realistic cost. However, through offering these services, cost was taken into a vital concern and there was a necessity to commit the internship for a better and the greater good of the company.
It is as well prudent to mention that cost management is an integral concern in contract management. This seconded by proper customer handling mechanism which my academic life did not instill in me. Hence, to mitigate the integration rigidity, it was necessary to process customer litmus testing to examine the customer’s commitment to the overall product development. Also, based on the business approach that this company configured me to, I realized that there was a derivative necessity to process a proper resume. In my resume, I mentioned the usage of several languages. Multiple languages are integral in responding to direct hurdles of the organization.
In addition, I preferred this company since through internship orientation; I stood a better position to promote consciousness among students. Thus, experimental learning project based on an academic classroom experience can best be practiced in an internship experience. Also, it is prudent to note that the internship aided my approach in developing consciousness, and employee attitude, workforce as well as, relevant skills. In fact, the high end background can be seen to having development necessary workforce experience. Further to this, the company was instrumental in providing me with vital waging and salary experiences.
Selection process
Although this firm is a construction firm, it is prudent to note that my internship orientation was responsive since this firm focused on my career contract administration. Therefore, in selecting my choice company, I realized that contract administration involves much different subject area which was oriented from procedures and rules. Through the criteria of highest possible evaluation, this enabled me to determine to act in line with rules and procedures required in a professional environment. Firstly, it was instrumental to ensure that the contract administration activity would be initialized based on customer requirements. Secondly, it was necessary to analyze the nature and purpose of contract administration rules, ideally the nature and purpose. Thirdly, it is imperative to consider the significance of contract administration rules. This is based on the knowledge that there is a necessity to determine the contract personnel which suits my career.
Essentially, the interviewer required me to understand that contract administration is inclusive of perennial relationships between the client and the customer, and indeed, the contract administration will encompass primary dealings with the party and the client. In fact, work can be completed and accepted on payment is processed to ensure disputes are resolved. As a result, contract administration does constitute the larger involvement of Rugmat on processing activities which will be done to ensure that the contract is resolved in detailed manner. Through this approach, the administration ensures that it develops a detailed follow-up and as fact, most of the contract recording deals will be developed on time. There interview also examined my ability to adjust contract details and requirements in line with customer expectations and goals of the company. In particular, the contractor examined whether I stood a better position to change the contract specifications with necessarily altering vital details of the contract. Thus, in summary, the contract could have been instrumental in ensuring that both parties to fulfill contractual obligations.
Initial training pros and cons
After tackling the interview processes, it was realized that there were potential negativities which accelerated the total pros and cons of the interviewing process. Firstly, it should be noted that a direct feedback mechanism was generated. Indeed, this assured that all responses were initialized. Secondly, the verbal and non-verbal formats were realized and this encouraged explained responses to the overall feedback mechanism. Thirdly, it became possible to personally interact with respondents, as a result rapport was developed and this made respondents to feel more candid and relaxed. Fourthly, I was able to realize a higher degree of flexibility and how I responded to a variety of issues time.
However, through the interviewing process, I realized that there were a variety of time-consuming processes which being scheduled in the interview process. Secondly, although higher degree of flexibility was experienced, there were issues related to inflexibility and the inconsistences were constrain the genuine effort to orient a higher and lucid interviewing process. Thirdly, proper analysis could have not been achieved since the interview failed to produce significant amount of data at the shortest time possible. Fourthly, the process was costly, time and mind boggling and in this case, there was not much time to analyze, train, schedule and conduct sufficient data analysis.
Section III
Internship experience – write a narrative analysis
I have to confess that during my first days as an intern, I was in constant fatigue and I failed to determine what I needed, when and what time. As a result, I located most of the time in communicating to the orienteer. I consider the interview a success since several accomplishments were achieved. Firstly, during my internship I was oriented to a workplace environment with real demographics and establishments of rotations and personnel of who I was supposed to be working with. Secondly, I realized that as part of professional development, the internship did meet vital considerations of the APA which relate heavily to training offered as well as specialization effects. In particular, the training department did meet the required expertises which are supervisions styles, theoretical orientations, accessibility, and commitment to training.
Also, the facilities and equipment that were provided in the training process did meet the internship requirements. Firstly, it is good to determine tangibility of intangibility of the equipment which was applied. Also, collegiality, morale development, respect, professionalism and institutionalism were adopted in the interview process. Through this, I was in a better position to determine vital processes that I was expected to initiate in order to mitigate environmental change aspects. Through this calling, I stood a better position to orient a personalized list of priorities. In fact, while evaluating special program, I understood professional goals and other responsive personal needs. This was inline with the development of personal vision and mission statement that would aid me to decisively analyze objectives of the firm.
I spent most the time attempting to develop personal values of relating to the working environment. In fact, self-examination is an important aspect. Through this, I was capable of developing sufficient truth about my self and the work environment, as well as, increased degrees of punctuality and professionalism. This is I light with the significant differences that humans encounter and to a greater extent respond to professional demands of relating with clients, members of the public, and co-workers on an equal threshold of operation. In relation to values, I was in a better position to examine, sexuality, religion, family, abortion, self-disclosure, euthanasia, work, honesty, autonomy, acceptance and work. Values were considerably instrumental in enhancing my approaches in accepting and developing a personality culture factor. Also, it was through this that I stood a better position to develop a response mechanism one that would seek to answer to direct challenges of the firm.
Developing value and personality match with my vision as well as, mission statements of the firm. In this light, I developed decisive reaction patterns to respond to different situation required in the environment. Secondly, this approach assisted me to distinctly be helpful and access what I preferred in relation to the developing better stress mitigating parameters. In fact, these situations of personal reflection were instrumental in enhancing my professionalism since I was in a better position to handle different situations in a diverse methodology. Also in this case, dysfunctional did not necessarily mean the orientation of different patterns and this stretched constructively to the orientation of an internship.
How did your experience match your initial internship proposal?
After a close assessment, I realized that my original expectations in relation to the interview were not met fully; however, to a greater extent there were some conclusive elements that can be applied to round the fact that the interview process was comprehensive. This continuum was developed on trainee professional consideration. As a result, the aspect of identity was achieved and this was in line with my original course goals as well as, in line with other expectation. Through the subsequent academic development, I developed decisive management skills which would respond directly to needs of the society. Since internship is an extension of classroom experience into a real work environment, it is necessary to acknowledge that the program was instrumental in accelerating my understanding on the role professionalism and a work environment. As a result, I was in deeper position to understand skills development, personal development, as well as, professional development conductively.
This was possible since in an internship program, self-direction was instrumental in accessing valuable learning experience which is based on experimental factors. In this relation, I stood a better position to develop significant responsibility patterns of learning process. While it is common knowledge that I expected an acute distinction of academic appliances in real work environment, it is as well prudent to acknowledge that the internship requested me to apply extra decisive skills; for instance, probation which was instrumental in responding to direct challenges of my career development. Through operating closely, I stood a better position to develop decisive knowledge and knowledge application and this referred to applying theories which were learned in the classroom.
As a result of professionalism, I have to confess that the academic foundation was instrumental in enhancing the ideal development of a workplace approach. Firstly, this approach was beneficial since I was capable of developing proper and institutive communication skills. Also, it is good to note that the internship program facilitated my development of superior customer handling mechanism. In fact, through this I was in a better position to ground impressions, thoughts and resulting feelings. With time, this approach was instrumental in aiding me to develop, change and evolve professionally. It is also good to note that through the internship I stood a better position to develop multiple motivations as well enhance a decisive starting point of personality and career development.
Which Courses facilitated the learning experience?
Yes, all courses were instrumental in aiding me to develop a coherent performance scale in internship. The major helpful course was communication and this was seconded by construction management. In both of these courses, I borrowed heavily from there academic theories, and in fact, it is through communication that my personality was realized. In fact, through communication, I stood a superior position to express my opinion to the larger interview committee. On the other hand, the construction management was instrumental in enhancing my application of better and proper management skills which were vital in responding to decisiveness of contract management. Indeed, I was expected to communicate the ideas of the client through the maps and this how the goals and objectives of the firm were met. Also, it is essential to ensure that goals of the firm were met, and thus, a combined approach of other courses; for instance, information technology was applied to respond to diverse challenges of the firm.
Career goals and Experience
According to the internship program, I would like to acknowledge that vital lessons were learned in the process. In fact, through this, major lessons were learned and some of these lessons encompassed the hybrid application of academic and natural skills. If chances were available I would advocate for the improvising of more of Information technology devices to enhance communication and superior file storage mechanism. Tablets operating on the company’s ERP system would have been influential in enhancing communication at all levels of organizational development. This not only affected my career goals and aspirations, but as well accelerated my personality development to achieve professional levels. In fact, through this approach, I realized that I stood a better position to understand my self in a superior parameter on that is based on accepting who I was and how this would be applied to improve my overall career development effort.
Conclusion

According to the above the report, it is imperative to note that the internship period championed the development of personal character into a professional orientation. In particular, the report has identified the impetus of communication as one that is directed towards achieving me-interview, me-fellow staff and me-client communication. In the entire instance, it is imperative to note that communication was seconded by the development academic based goals, essentially those which in direct regard of the program. Rugmat establishment provided a groundwork framework that would be essential in responding to direct needs of the firm through a hybrid application academic and natural orientation.

I learned that World War I arose in the area of 1914 and 1918. Despite the fact that the dispute started in Europe, it included both the nations of the United States and Japan. The period flooring the way to the war was a bewildering mass of strategy and political moving. Numerous nations discussed over procedures and establishments together until about the latest possible time an initial duo of long bounces of the conflict were equally rowdy and confusing. World War I drove blatantly to World War II and set the phase for some other dynamic occasions in the twentieth century.
I took in that, The Great Depression preserved going from 1929 to 1939 and was the most extremely severe financial decline in the historical framework of the commercial world. It happened after the portion trading system crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into agitation and wiped out a great many financial experts. Throughout the phase, buyer spending, and rumor dropped, causing abrupt decreases in current income and work as impending up short organizations laid off employees. By 1933, when the Great Depression achieved its most minimal point, somewhere in the range of 15 million Americans were jobless, and about a major portion of the nation’s banks had vanished.
I learned that the Origins of the Cold War comprised the collapse of relations between the Soviet Union against the United States, Great Britain and their cohorts in the years 1945– 1949. From the American-British point of vision, first reverted discretionary encounters extending decades, trailed by the issue of political bounds in Central Europe and political non-law .It was the base manager of the East by the Soviet Army. At that point came economic problems and later the main real military come across, with a hazard of a hot war, in the Berlin Blockade of 1948-49. By 1949 the lines were abruptly drawn, and the Cold War was set up in Europe.
Summary- Policies, Politics and Events
Summary- Policies, Politics and Events
Introduction
Event organization requires policy considerations for both political and event policies. It consists of event management, which involves production and design, and event policies that guide the arrangement from the start to the actual activity. Events include people in society hence need a place and organizers to ensure it is successful. Occasions occur due to ritual; thus, there is consumption, and performance needs to be standard as required by the policies of events.
Policy making at international, national and regional level.
Policy-making differs at international, regional, and national levels due to different laws, regulations, and intentions of the society or government. Understanding public policy is essential because of the PESTLE reasons, which are political, environmental, social, technological, legal, and economic causes. These reasons help in structuring ideas and getting finance to plan for the events. Event managers comply to laid down policies and communicate with the policymakers, then work together to make the event. Policy makers need to understand events to apply in the economic, social and cultural development and ensure proper coordination to achieve the set objectives.
Partnerships is characterized by joint contribution. Partners may have different thinking and ideas which ensures proper decisions are made hence strengthening event organization. However the different thinking may also fail to work in creating policies hence become disastrous (Taylor, 2011)
Power Concept
Policy influencers may also determine policies. These are the parties that have the power to contribute to making, changing, or planning for events. Influencers may be law enforcers and charities willing to donate funds. Their influence depends on the power they have over the subjects. Power is collective and diffused into the society; hence it may originate from one party and spread to others or start from a joint party. The party that has power over others dominates, but the inferior also has to take part in organizing an event, although the contribution is minimal. However, in policy-making, the challenge may be a lack of knowledge of institutions and accountability factors. Nevertheless, an impact must be felt after the event has taken place.
Power, Ideology and Propaganda in events
Just as power is vital in event organization, ideology creates the foundation of an occasion. The ideas originate from people’s beliefs, attitudes, and opinions and intertwine with the power in the society that impacts decisions. The first ideologies arise from dominant principles of socio-political order in society. However, people could create alternative ideas to the existing ones, hence making counter ideologies, that perform the same function as the dominant ideologies. On the other hand, for successful event planning, power, and thinking should integrate with propaganda. Propaganda is a piece of biased or misleading information that s always bound to occur to promote a cause of action. Participatory propaganda works well in an event organized as parties deliberately work together to shape perceptions and persuade the audience to achieve a response. Integrating power, ideologies, and propaganda into event planning ensures proper interpretation hence perfect event planning.
Community Cohesion
Events take place in communities, for example, in festivals for celebrations, entertainment, and sports to foster unity and create identity. The society believes in ties that bind the people together, shown through the culture, interests, and social relationships shared among people of the same community. Individuals may also identify themselves through common cultural heritage such as tradition, faith, kinship and shared economic interests. When planning an event, a common theme guides it during development, representing the beliefs or policies of the group. However, a frequent subject requires community cohesion with a shared vision, which is challenging to build. Globalization, cultural diversity, and different leisure interests influence it; hence expectations may end up being unrealistic.
The community may develop political ideologies for election manifestos (Taylor, 2011) and is used by the society creating a belief. This is the big society which is characterised by more power over other people and an active role in the society.
The politics of events focusing on expressing difference
Members of a community may have the same common goals but are still different in matters such as age and gender. Therefore, event organizers need to understand the difference, to design the occasion to the interest of the community at large. The knowledge ensures that stereotyping does not occur, creating equality for all members as stipulated by the role of policy. The effect to stereotype ensures all people are treated the same, and uniqueness is considered in every kind of people. Policies such as the equality act 2010, protects every individual against unfair treatment. Challenges may occur due to pride and diversity of people, making it difficult to incorporate everyone. Difference breaks the community bond as individuals pursue various interests while ego breaks existing coexistence. These challenges may be addressed through community empowerment and cultural development.
Community Cultural Development
Power does not last forever, but other individuals may reshape it, which creates new ideas that can empower people of the community. Empowerment encourages people to take control of their lives to improve their lives. Community cultural development uses initiatives in collaboration with some members of the society to express views and ideas that instill change that impacts individuals positively. Empowerment is measured using the groups that have different characteristics in the society such as people with disability, racial difference, gender and religion. Also, new skills development through capacity building promotes new ideas that help people of the society to develop, both financially and morally. Arts encourages participation and expression hence develops new skills for people. Authenticity gives a sense of belonging as ideas have original authority, while legality gives a sense of security. Maintenance of good relationship and loyalty enhances proper development process (Kay, 2000; Mulligan & Smith, 2006).
Rites and Rituals
Event management also requires an understanding of the rites and rituals. A ritual is an action that repeatedly occurs over a while. It mostly involves physical activity with recurrence, special occasion, and time to construct the social dimension of values, hierarchies, culture, and status of a community. Politics can affect rituals, whereby public holidays are granted, cultural heritage is expressed, and political figures could be identified in the event. It can also be theoretical where anthropology, cultural studies, and social capital are applied. According to Van Gennep, rites of passage have three divisions; separation, transition, and reincorporation (Getz, 2013). Each stage has a feature of new rules and an opportunity for innovation and personal development. Politics can be used as a form of approval of policies when events address political challenges affecting a group of people in society.
Events and Placemaking
The event organization needs a plan for the place. The organization includes the design and target location of a particular place in correspondence with the kind of event anticipated. Currently, urban cities host most of the festivals as a sign of revitalization and development due to the high population. Cities also have various models; entrepreneurial, creative, and intercultural hence a city choosing a town depends on the type of event. The event organizer should consider factors such as time, space, and experience that a particular place has by checking the past performance. Activities enhance the life of a city and make the people proud of their home, consequently encouraging more other events. Identity may be personal, social, collective, or place by which they all promote a common goal.
Events as protests, Protests as events
Some events are usually regarded as protests because of the nature of the occasion, such as political aims. It is a change through which people perceive the world and decide to go along with every law until the realization that it is affecting them (Zizek, 2014, p. 10). Also, all demonstrations are considered as events due to the existence of rules during the preparation. Besides, protests aim at a positive impact on participants. While protesting, there should be emotional synchrony among the members as explained by Durkheim. Common emotion creates unity, helps members concentrate on a specific goal, and collective friendly behaviour. Protests encourage social movement, which in turn creates change. Music is also used in demonstrations to give the content of the theme and create the identity of participants. It also consolidates separate groups hence strengthening them with love, thus clearly expressing their message to the target parties.
