Freud Analysis of a Mind
Introduction
Psychiatry may be an old medicine but psychoanalysis is actually very recent, and was actually very developed by the works of Sigmund Freud. Psychoanalysis is an extremely complicated and not particularly unified set of ideas due to the fact that it has been revised fundamentally and revisions and extensions still continue. in spite of this, the effect it has had on contemporary thinking is astounding. Freud was therefore the first doctor to create the mind as the site for unreason.
This is the procedure for the investigation of mental processes which are almost inaccessible that is based upon the investigation and collection of information obtained along those lines which eventually accumulate to a very distinct discipline. It does basically depend on the method of free association.
Psychoanalysis
Initially he argued that behavior could be explained by traumatic experience in the early childhood that left their mark on the individual despite that fact that the individual as not consciously aware of those experiences. The idea therefore was that once an individual became conscious of this, the events would lose their unconscious power and the individual would be in control.
Psychoanalysis is a specific mind investigation technique and a therapy that has been inspired from this investigation. In order to emphasize, this form of science implies no form of speculation and it tends more towards psychotherapy than it does to philosophy, culture or art.
According to Freud, for a healthy and working mind, a person must have three basic components of their mind. That is the ego, the id and the superego. Generally, the ego finds it difficult to deal with the conflicting demands of the other two components, these is the id and the superego. He continues to state that these conflicts are intrinsic in nature and as such cannot be divorced from the human nature.
It is thus true to argue accordingly that this conflict is one of the fundamental battles that every individual faces in their life. How this conflict, between instant gratification and long-term reward, is then resolved is what determines the individual’s character and eventually build the personality of an individual and how he or she relates with other people.
In this analysis, Freud considered the id of an individual. This included the libido and the tenacious “will to live” and worked on the pleasure principle. People generally did what they found to feel good when they did it. For instance, she took piano lesson because she found pleasure playing the piano. Secondly is the superego. This in contrast is the force of self-criticism and conscience and reflects requirements that stem from the individuals social experience in a particular society or environment.
This superego arises from the first great love attachment. Initially, the child’s experiences are very judgment based but over time they are internalized and become part of his ego. It eventually becomes what the child ideally feels that he should become. Finally it develops to what people generally call a personality. This leans towards the actual reality as it tries to act as a go-between for the strain that the id demands and the prohibitions that the superego impacts.
Given this basic organization of the personality, it is conflict that tends to handle the two aspects. This is because as the individual experiences all sorts of drives and urges coming from the id, and feels guilty about them because of the prohibitions of the superego, they try to handle the situation. For example aggressive and destructive urges may be devoted to a playing the piano.
In contrast, those drives are stuffed back into the unconscious and the individual denies that they exist. They may have a variety of strange effects on behavior as a result. Take for example the idea of sex and sexuality. A person with repressed sexual feelings may end up becoming very prudish about all other sexual matters; or the may project these feelings to another person as where a person who represses there homosexuality are fast to detect homosexual tendencies on others whether they are homosexual or not. This is true also for several other characters or personalities that a person feels guilty to hold.
Freud believed that these basic conflicts can play out in various ways. Each infant, he argues goes through a series of phases in which the basic drives were oriented around, first oral drives, then anal drives and finally genital drives. At the genital stage, the child becomes sexually attracted to the parent of the opposite sex and views the same sex parents as competitions. What is now understood as the Oedipus complex in boys and is comparable to the Electra complex in girls. If the guilt that arises as a result therefore is not handled adequately by the ego, it leaves a lasting imprint that eventually determines the individual’s behavior. There are instances that it extends into adult life and manifests itself in some very anti-social manner.
A major tool that he used to deal with such issues was transference. This is the tendency for the past significant relationships to be replayed during current significant relationships. As the relationship grows, the person tends to bring out these features out as they generate the problems. Sometimes transference results not from real features but presumed ones or the ones that tend to remind the person of previous experiences.
Delinquent behavior therefore, such as drug abuse can be attributed to malfunctions in the ego or the superego as the id will generally lack control for these short term desires as it is constant and in born source of drives and urges and will vary according to the individual.
Conclusion
The intervention that comes where psychoanalysis is involved, include confronting the defenses, the wishes or desires and the guilt. It is through the analysis of the conflicts that arise therefore, including those that cause resistance and even those that involve transference, one can understand how unconscious symbolic reactions have been stimulated over several periods and time by several experiences that make people behave in the way they do as has been illustrated by the video.
As such the video itself tries to elaborate not only Freud’ work but the reason as to why psychoanalysis has been changed so many times over, is tough to develop while at the same time has proved difficult to dispute. It is therefore true that the development of a stable and integrated sense of self is built depending on how much one interacts with others and not just confined in one room or a never changing environment.

Role of Facebook in Chaos Creation
Social media has become a very important force in the world today. Social media especially Facebook is making the world progress in terms of communication efficiency as well as making work done in a very short time in the right manner. However, it is also responsible for most of the violent scenes witnessed in some places in developing societies. There is a lot of information available on Facebook and the top management of facebook always has to consider what is important to the world and how to make sure that both the shareholders and the stakeholders benefit mutually from the social media platform.
Therefore this makes it very difficult for Facebook to terminate some kind of messaging or activities being carried out on Facebook because even though it might be offensive to the population it might also be beneficial to some people. However, this is a lame reason for not uprooting dirty content but there are other reasons for this. This paper discusses the place of shareholders and stakeholders in Facebook management depending on the various instances which have caused alarm for Facebook to take action
In Myanmar, there had been violence generated by Facebook users. This was an instance whereby Buddhist extremists took to the social media platform to express their anger and their dissatisfaction, therefore, leading to chaos and a lot of tension in that area. Facebook entered Myanmar in 2014 and it was this period when the riots and the chaos came around. Therefore it means that having no Facebook the area was more peaceful and they enjoyed a lot of tranquillity. The CEO of Facebook mark responded to this chaos by stating that Facebook uses an algorithm to show content and therefore the content with the highest number of viewers or interactions is the one that shows on the first page or shows very fast when a person gets into Facebook. This, therefore, is not a question of Facebook promoting violence from the end of the management but ill-willed individuals try to manipulate and use the social media platform for their benefits.
The management of Facebook on its side tries to protect the community from these issues but it is up to the community members to realize that they are the ones responsible for how they use the social media platform. With these issues, the users of Facebook can be said to be the stakeholders while the shareholders are mostly in the management or running of Facebook. The effects of these instances make facebook very difficult to control what its users are doing. However, there are efforts like the employment of individuals who know the local languages to prevent some content from circulating and to prevent individuals from misusing the social media platform.
These efforts are praise-worthy however there remain questions like who is the person to be blamed; it is the facebook management or the Facebook users. From the viewpoint of this chaos and riots, Facebook is indeed run based on the shareholder primacy model because it is the shareholders whom Facebook is concerned about and not so much about stakeholders. This is for a simple reason. First of all, controlling what people say and what is needed in certain geographical locations is very difficult and may not be possible for Facebook. Even if this was possible for Facebook it would be very costly to monitor what individuals talk about and therefore it might not be beneficial to Facebook. Therefore Facebook as a platform allows itself to be used in any manner as long as the shareholders gain what they invested in since the more the platform is used the more beneficial it is.
In conclusion, if Facebook began terminating some communications in all parts of the world then it turns out that its rating goes down and there is a likelihood of the shareholders to suffer which is not a needed consequence. Therefore Facebook is mainly trying to encourage individuals and groups to only share what is important and not what might cause chaos and riots since limiting them would be costly and not beneficial in terms of finance.

Argumentative Essay for the Adoption of House Bill 3703 on Expanding Medical Conditions Treatable Using Low-THC Cannabis in Texas State
Introduction
House Bill 3703 proposed at the 86th regular legislative session advocates for prescription of low-THC cannabis by specific qualified physicians allowing them to use it on patients with specific medical conditions. Worth noting the Bill, which was passed successfully and took effect on 14th June 2019, was written by Klick, Oliverson, Zerwas, Sheffield, and Coleman and was sponsored by Campbell (Detyniecki, &Lawrence, 65). In their statement on intent, the authors and sponsors noted that House Bill 3703 sought to respond to calls updating the Texas Compassionate –Use Act enacted in 2015. Notably, the act had authorized the use of cannabis with low Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) to treat patients with intractable epilepsy, and this Bill sought to make more conditions and illnesses eligible for treatment. . The Bill gathered support and critique in equal measure. In my viewpoint, the adoption of House Bill 3703 represents a win for the health field. Its adoption will not only save the lives of millions of people battling conditions including spasticity, multiple sclerosis and help relieve them of pain. The purpose of this essay is to provide an analysis of House Bill 3703, including its benefits, adoption history, opponents, proponents, constitutionality, political pressures, and its relation to larger national issues.
What House Bill 3703 Seeks To Do
House Bill 3703 makes amendments to the occupations Code of the Medical Practice Act by adding to the medical conditions that patients can be prescribed cannabis with low THC concentration. The Bill seeks to allow the compassionate use of THC to treat all forms of epilepsy, including conditions such as multiple sclerosis, a seizure disorder, amytrophic lateral sclerosis, spasticity, terminal cancer, autism, and incurable neurodegenerative disease. Further, House Bill 3703 revises the constituents of low-THC if it will be used for the mentioned purposes. This meant scrapping off the condition that cannabis that has more than 0.5% by weight of THC should also contain less than 10% of cannabidiol by weight. Furthermore, this Bill removes the requirement of having to use a second licensed physician who is qualified to give the prescription of low-THC cannabis (Holden, & Marc, 63). This is because the use of a physician is inconsistent with determining a reasonable risk of using low-THC cannabis to patients. In light of the patient’s potential benefits, the risk at hand is reasonable and can be documented in the patient’s medical records.
The history behind the Proposed Bill
Initially, there was a bill that had been proposed and adopted during the 84Th legislative session in 2015. The Bill only allowed the prescription of low-THC cannabis to patients that only had intractable epilepsy. This new Bill, the House bill 3703, wanted to expand the patients that are eligible for treatment with low-THC cannabis. The Bill was proposed because it was only being used to treat one condition, and the restrictions made it not reach its maximum potential. The use of low-THC cannabis could treat many other conditions; hence, it would help patients seek alternative treatment for conditions they are suffering if one treatment did not seem as effective. Because this treatment had already been legalized in many other states, the adoption of this Bill would save many Texans the trouble of seeking medical help for serious conditions outside Texas.
How HB 3703 Relates to National Issues.
House Bill 3703 relates to the larger national issue of health and well-being of not only the people living within the State of Texas but also the lives of all Americans. Issues of health are a priority for most governments because it is their duty to ensure that its citizens can access quality and affordable healthcare. The Bill is about compassion, particularly for patients who need low-THC cannabis to treat epileptic conditions. With time, the experts can capitalize on the gains made from this initiative to develop a treatment for epileptic-related conditions and conditions, including traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Opponents and Proponents of House Bill of 3703
The proposition of House Bill 3703 during the 86th legislation session attracted support and criticism in equal measures. The Bill was sponsored by Campbell and had 11 co-sponsors that included Alvarado, Flores, Bettencourt, Lucio. Hinojosa, Menender. Nelson, Taylor, Schetner, Watson, and West. Supporters of their Bill argued that because it would expand access to treatment for patients with all forms of epilepsy, it would provide Texans with alternative treatment options just if one treatment failed (Russo & Ethan, 292). Additionally, the supporters maintained that adoption of the Bill would allow people in rural and urban areas access low-THC cannabis as only licensed entities would be involved in dispensation within specific locations. Furthermore, it would apply only to the use of low-THC, which is a form that does not have a euphoric effect. Another advantage is that it has low chances of being abused and does not have value in black street markets. On the other hand, opponents claimed that the Bill was likely to exacerbate the likelihood of causing harm to patients because the prescription treatment was yet to be approved by the Food and Drug and Administration as effective and safe. Moreover, they advocated that patients wishing to use low-THC cannabis should wait for full testing because the side effects remain largely unknown. They also argued that it would create an opportunity for individuals that had not been prescribed the use of low-THC cannabis to access it from the black market.
Political Pressures and Constitutionality of the Proposed Bill
The decision by legislators to adopt House Bill 3703 on increasing eligibility for treatment of various conditions with low-THC cannabis was met by different reactions from political parties. Republic State representatives supported the initiative mainly because it eliminated the need to get approvals from two physicians to access the drug (Legislative Reference Library, 5). In their viewpoint, this condition restricted access to the people who need it most. Stephanie Klick Particularly said that “In the interim, there’s been more data that has come out, which is why I would support some of the other conditions being added. There are clearly individuals that have benefited from it.” Eventually, the Bill gained massive support, which led to its lawful and constitutional passing, legislation, adoption, and subsequent implementation.
The Bill Process
In terms of the legislative process, the Bill was passed and adopted as a law. It was filled in the house on 3/7/2019 before proceeding to the House Committee on Public health, where it garnered 10Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Absent, and 0 Present not voting. The house then voted on it before proceeding to the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services, garnering 9 Ayes, 0 Nays, 0 Absent, and 0 Present not voting. The Bill was later passed and signed by the governor, after which it was adopted as a law immediately. Noteworthy, there was no introduction of another companion bill within the chambers.
Conclusion
There are two sides to a coin. However much this Bill had disadvantages, its benefits outweigh its disadvantages. In my viewpoint, the adoption of the House Bill remains to be a milestone that is worth celebrating. This is because its adoption brings the community closer to the attainment of universal health, which provides access to quality and affordable health care to improve the people’s well being. Because of the adoption of this Bill, patients presenting with various conditions including, autism, spasticity, terminal cancer, incurable neurodegenerative disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and seizure disorder have a chance at treatment.
