My interest in becoming a nurse stems from my inborn empathy, the need to be helpful to others, and a clear vision of what I can do to improve people’s well-being. From an incredibly tender age, I knew I wanted to be part of the medical professionals to render quality healthcare and touch many people’s lives globally. I want to become a nurse to develop myself and develop a set of skills for serving the patient population. I also want to become a nurse since this will mark the start of my long and successful career in serving in the most challenging and rewarding medical career that grows continually with its endless opportunities in practice. I have also learned that my love and interest in medicine are quite broad, which fits perfectly in the profession since I can focus on more than one medicine aspect.
Although I known nursing is a challenging career, I firmly believe I possess significant attributes that will contribute to my success in the program and profession. I am empathetic, and I believe this attribute will enable me to put myself in my patients’ shoes and provide individualized care to all patients. Also, I am attentive to details, and I believe this attribute will enable me to avoid medical errors during my nursing career. Furthermore, I am a caring person, and I always naturally tend to care about other people. I believe this attribute will enable me to render amicable nursing services. Lastly, I am a passionate, compassionate, and emotionally stable individual. I believe these values are key in the nursing profession and will serve me incredibly well in the nursing program and profession. These values will enable me to significantly contribute to the stability and success of healthcare institutions and patients by helping them during their vulnerable times.

As a high school graduate, I am tasked with the responsibility of determining the next step I take in life. The education I have received in the Qatar University has so far has acted as a stepping stone for my future education. It is thus ideal for me to ensure that I make the right choice in regard to where I choose to spend the next three years of my college life. I have always had an eye for business administration from the time immemorial. This was influenced by my surrounding environment and family. My grandfather played a significant role in my decision to opt for business as a possible career. His love for business gave my parents a chance to better themselves so that they too could invest in sustainable careers. My choice to take on this course in the future is a reflection of the advantages I have experienced from a successful community. I was introduced to the subject in high school through the study of business studies. This involved the conduction of transactions from one party to another. The process of acquiring a profit from the provision of a product or service makes the world go round. Having an involvement in this sector is not only geared towards earning a career but also taking part in the growth and sustainability of the country as a whole.
Apart from school work, I have taken an active stance in the extracurricular activities such as sports and music. Having alternative talent and skills compliments the hard work that I put in my education. I particularly enjoy taking part in athletic activities so that I can maintain a healthy lifestyle. My love for business has been showcased in the earlier stages of my high school life. One of the memorable first business deals involves taking part in a charity car wash that resulted in receiving 80% profits after the subtraction of my overheads. This gave me the confidence to take on more complex ventures such as applying for internships in the business of close family friends so as to familiarize myself with the business world.
Having the opportunity to join college as a business administration student will sum up the completion of the goals I set when in elementary school. Earning a college degree is significant for my future in terms of receiving a better lifestyle. This objective is more vital due to the current state of the economy. Most of the children my age have chosen to take different routes due to the recent recession that the world experienced. My choice to join the business world is thus a positive reaction to the negative perception formed of people responsible for the recession. I have therefore challenged myself to do something about the current state of the global economy by being part of the upcoming generation.
Joining the business world will ensure that I get a career in a significant industry in the country. Another essential factor is the advantage that comes with rising to the top of any company with such a career. My promotional portfolio is made up of a set of pictures showing my skills and application of concepts in the fashion and styling industry.
The first picture shows my fabric cutting and fitting skill of a top of a dress. It is a sleeveless dress; hence the fabric is cut with the U pattern. From the job description, you need an individual with cutting out fabric skills; hence I presume I will make the right candidate for the position.
The second photo is a men’s knitwear sweater with color combinations red black, which brings out an elegance look. Fashion requires appropriate color combinations; therefore, with the skill and knowledge I have on colors, and I can be of significant contribution while working with other designers.
The third photo is a knitwear dress from my current project. Knitwear may be considered an old fashion, but when knitted with fashion design and skill, it produces discerning wear for any occasion. With the innovation skill I possess, I could help improve old designs to create something new for the market.
The fourth photo is a sketch of a wedding gown, without a tail. The side design at the waist brings out a winsome look for a person’s memorable day. With the skill of technical drawing, I can work with the team to create a collection of designs for clients.
The fifth and sixth designs are female dresses for a party or even dinner. The dresses have unique designs at the bottom, showing a bossy look hence bringing out the elegance of an iron lady. The dresses are created with unique designs for female clients.
The creativity and innovative skills I possess, as well as the ability to sketch different designs for both male and female wears, will be an excellent resource for the company. Also, I have been working with clients in the negotiation of costs and taking clients’ orders; hence I can analyze client ranges and determine customer wants.
