Physical therapy is a key component of treatment for knee osteoarthritis that results in particular benefits for addressing deficits in health, flexibility, function and gait. Physical therapists play a crucial role in providing instructions in an appropriate home exercise program which is as well essential in the management of osteoarthritis. The article is based on previous research on group physical therapy program for knee osteoarthritis. The research yielded the results of an improvement in pain and function compared to traditional individual physical therapy, resulting in the group physical therapy program was implemented in a Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care System.
The purpose of the study was to evaluate the implementation metrics and changes in patient-level measures that resulted from the implementation of the group physical therapy program. The group physical therapy involved a six weeks sessions and the implementation metrics included numbers of referrals and completed sessions. The results of the study include; 152 patients were referred, 80 had an initial session scheduled, 71 completed at least one session, and 49 completed at least five sessions. According to the findings of the study, patients completing the group physical therapy program in the implementation phase showed clinically relevant improvements comparable to those observed in the previous clinical trials that compared group physical therapy and individual physical therapy for knee osteoarthritis.
The results of the study are significant because the group physical therapy can help improve the efficiency and access compared with the individual physical therapy. However, there were some limitations concerning the attendance and completion rates, and the program adaptations may be required to optimize the implementation metrics. Group therapies have a great impact on the clinical practice due to its ability to improve efficiency and access, and this increase the healing ability of the individuals suffering from knee osteoarthritis.

I enjoyed reading your self-reflection because it is so honest and interesting. Particularly, I was drawn to how you presented your individuals assumptions and weaknesses at the beginning of the paper, and later showed how much you have grown through the trials and tribulations to become better at managing and leading. I agree with your position on the fact that leadership is a process, one that amplifies a number of naturally available values and characteristics in a person. I also feel that some people are just born leaders, with or without training. However, I feel that you should have added that training on leadership is required to shape the innate abilities to be aligned to proven theoretical and practical requirements that are important to the practices of managing, leadership, and stewardship. Your self-analysis is so refreshing, one that I will surely employ to conduct my own internal appraisal so that I know what I will need to improve on and what to take on as a strength. Your individual action-guiding principles are also very practical. They show how you plan to attain certain objectives and the expectations you have towards the same. I believe that following what you have presented will be a sur way to improve your skills as a leader.

It is true that although America has witnessed a number of great presidents the contribution of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, or FDR cannot be questioned. He was a great symbolic leader and helped America to overcome some of its tribulations such as the Great Depression. His form of character and leadership reminds me of the late 16th president of the U.S.A Abraham Lincoln. He not only made constitutional changes for our country but also freed up slaves. Moreover, he did instill values hat as a country it did set foundation for our progress. Currently, we are considered as the leading nation across and this sis due to the contribution of presidents such as FDR. On the other hand, FDR also reminded me of Nelson Mandela, a leader who took initiative to bring changes to his nation (South Africa) through the illustration of aptitude, humility and great symbolism.
I do agree with your recognition of one of FDR statements, which was during his first inaugural address that “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” (History, 2009). This statement also reminded me of Barrack Obama’s speech at the democratic convention in Massachusetts in 2012. He stated there was only one state, which is the United States. Therefore, there was no need for divisions within the society based on color, race, or religion. It is through such statements that the society can be able to reflect on themselves and take a step back and decide on what would they do to make changes in their communities. In other words, such statements act as a driving force for changes in our societies, and al these are associated with the aspect of symbolism displayed by the initiators of changes.
I have also come across the Rosie the Riveter “We Can Do It!” poster once when perusing various historical documents in the internet. At the time, I was not aware of its origins and purpose and I am quite shocked and impressed to find out that it was utilized to drive the recruitment of the female workers during the world war II. This was a very tormentors’ period for our country and I am refreshed to discover that symbolism played a crucial role in helping a society fight war as well as recover. Besides, women played a huge role in helping our country fight the war as well as the reconstruction phase. It is great through such vision and approach that the female percentage of the United States workforce increased from 27% to 37%. (History, 2010). Our current leaders and community mobilizers should draw inspiration from such approaches if they are to effect fundamental changes in their societies. Generally, I do agree that the two symbols paled a crucial; role in helping FDR becoming a successful president given his contribution in helping America become fruitful in world war II. As an individual, I have managed to learn a lot from what it takes to be a leader based on your write-up and I do know that this knowledge would prove to be vital in my present and future life.
