The master stateroom’s arched doors and warped bulkheads add to the impressive design as it does to the queen-sized bed in the alcove. The master stateroom itself includes a pair of night tables, adjusted drawers, two setter line closets and plenty of cabinets. Moving forward is the mid stateroom located up in the bow attributes similar characteristics in the master. For instance; centerline queen berth, round hatch overhead and direct access to guest head shower.

This power houses are electronically controlled, so they specifically require the amount of fuel needed depending on operating temperatures and load. The inline six arrangements offer a virtually narrow envelope for further space in the engine room and together with better engine response.
The Volvo Penta 74P affords nearly vibration free operation, muted noise levels and smooth idling around the docks. This engine package also accompanies electronic controls on both helm stations for unproblematic operations and the net result of computer controls is reduced exhaust, easy maintenance and reduced fuel consumption.

CARVER YACHTS – The Carver 506 Motoryacht
It’s more of a “floating condo” rather than your all-season home away craft. Standing 51-foot, 7-inch LOA and 4-inch beam, she has exterior lines that carve neatly throughout. The 506 Motoryacht coalesces striking styling and opened interior rooms in all-new version of the aft cabin motoryacht. In fact, the entire interior is generously done in cherry, while her finish is superior – all hardware, fittings and fabrics illustrate first-class. Sure, Carver has time and again pressed the envelope to this hold: Actually, slapping the manufacturing and automotive industries for inspiration amid the occasional-stale state marine blueprint.
Today, the company is paying more attention to innovative build and added spaciousness aboard with realistic price points. And the Carver’s new 506 is a great example of not just a natter, but a declaration put into play.
With an appealing contemporary approach to styling, the 506 delivers a layout one might mistake with a 60-footer. She accompanies what is basically an elevated pilothouse; entirely enclosed and air-conditioned on a comfortable L-shaped lounge area with halogen illumination/lights. The helm lounge bench seats three with a full wet bar, while on the opposite is a simulated burled-wood trim dash and adjustments for usual electronics such as – optional ice maker and refrigerator. And when things get tropic, fresh air is abundance – thanks to the standard smoked-acrylic sunroof that operates automatically.
Aft deck
The 506’s aft deck is integrated with an elevated bridge which is totally enclosed and air-conditioned. The overall design facilitates a great view aft for the captain and direct contact with guest on the aft deck or the bridge. Guide to the vaguely raised side decks, sideboarding gates and bow is through a thoughtful wing door. Even though you won’t find a built-in seating, the 118 square feet area will easily house loose seating crew and a cocktail table. In conclusion, the third door makes way to the swim platform or the same utilized as a boarding platform.
Salon
Wide open spaces notion continues belowdecks: Entrance to the salon is through gliding stainless-steel framed glass door, which dining and the galley are all incorporated into one big area. Interestingly, the carver designers must have figured out how space would be of use if properly configured. The salon itself was incorporated with raised side decks thus, functional space extends all the way beam to the hull sides with substantial effects on spaciousness. Forward looking directly at the galley, is a dinning area with wooden flooring and simulated-stone countertops; an L- shaped settee is to port inwale, with adorable chaise longue size and double built-in recliners seats to starboard. On top and beneath the sidedeck plane are frameless windows, which give way for ample illumination; once again kudos to the Carver’s aluminum-framing technology within the walls to put up this vast living area which is free of partitions.
Staterooms
On the aft, cherry wood trim invites the master stateroom. This is where you’ll notice much classiness and style in the Carver 506 Motoryacht. Incorporated is a queen-sized island berth on an innerspring mattress. What’s more, there is a sink quarter plus few cedar-lined hanging lockers, night tables, integral settee and two private shower heads included in separate compartments. Forward of the saloon is the adversary two guest staterooms, one positioned in the forepeak which accompanies queen island berth and a secluded access to its own ensuite head with stall shower. Superior finish becomes evident here as witnessed by craggy hinges in all the cabin doors, cherry flooring throughout and two cedar- line hanging lockers – (automated lighting). The second guest stateroom is a bit confined and kids would well suit this room, nonetheless it houses two berths and enclosed head.
Structural
Under the 2000 models, Carver incorporated new structural design wherein they put and end to wood below the waterline. The course of uniting two or more layers of material is modernized, with multidirectional strengthening and a vinylester skin cover for burn shield. A template of transverse frames and constant longitudinal stringers is molded disjointedly and attached to the hull. Partitions are done in marine plywood. The hull foot is a firm, handlaid laminate on six films of triaxial/mat underpinning. Foam coring thickens the hull surfaces (over the water line), while balsa-core hardens the decks and structure above the baseline. Welded aluminum beams hold the marine plywood salon sole, while fiberglass liners delineate the belowdecks housings. This is what Carver has devoted into refining building practices and to give customers assurance when on water: Further, with carver, you now have limited transferable warranty; one year general cover on systems, five years on blistering and seven years on structure.
Engine Compartment
Entrance to the engine compartment is via a hatch in the saloon which integrates the saloon sole and the steps that guide to the aft deck. It appears clumsy to lift, but when opened the engine section entrance is outstanding. The engine compartment extends to the span of the salon belowdecks.
Performance
In no doubt, given her interior room sported off by an enclosed pilothouse one would think that the Carver 506 Motor yacht would sprint along at trawler speeds. Well, her accompanied twin 450 hp Cummins diesel tested different: A recorded top end speed of almost 30 mph. Of course, if you consider a much bigger engine (635-hp Cummins); you ought to power beyond that barrier. As anticipated, with less notice, the 506 Carver is incredibly responsive enough to duck surface obstructions, thanks to the wide turning radius (at speed) almost certainly 10 crafts lengths. On acceleration, it’s gradual and smooth at cruise levels all the way. Interestingly, her lateral stability is very impressive; it’s what in contrast you may imagine for a flying bridge motoryacht. The 506 Carver’s 2-foot beam is rock steady at sea.
Any serious angler, cruiser or family excursion person wouldn’t consider a second presumption on the base price $600,000 (twin 450 hp Cummins included), ready to cruise those locations with debatable shore power or head on shore with doors open in northern climes. So while you’re already thinking of owning it, just know it’s what many dream of having!

CARVER YACHTS – The Carver 346 Motor yacht
CARVER YACHTS – The Carver 346 Motor yacht
While there can be only one Boat that dominates, there have been crafts that over years wowed us with remarkable features. They are innovative, cool, and simply elegant. The kind of whims that makes you question, why doesn’t everyone do this?
So, when you see boaters call on superior aft cabin, this is where Carver Yachts usually comes to play. With time tested boat building methods, innovated engineering and nothing but highest quality materials, Carver’s dedicated staff gives that personal touch on every Carver that leaves the Pulaski Wisconsin Factory. And sure, the 346 does not only come as the latest example of the company’s expertise, but it’s also Carver’s 02’ version of its highly admired line of Aft-cabin Motoryachts.
Extensions On Metal, Electrical and Upholstery Shops
Besides Carver’s emphasis on in-house fabrication of parts and equipment as well as woodwork facility; Carver has dedicated extensions on metal, electrical and upholstery shops. Sure, give credit where credit is due; the 346 sports tinned-copper wire runs, all cautiously loomed, marked, color-coded and installed; custom-fit electrical strap ups with watertight connectors; bowrail stanchions which are twice over-welded to their base plates; and outdoor sprawl on seat cushions with King Starlite XL bases, thicker marine vinyl fabrics, water-repellent form, mesh backing and stainless steel staples.
An Antiquated Approach
Carver’s entire construction appears to benefit from the same heeding, an antiquated approach! The 346’s solid glass base is designed to endure grounding for several years to come. Hull sides and decks are centered with Baltek AL600/10 to reduce weight. On the other hand, her bridge is firmly supported on eight aluminum standings concealed within mullions and other structures – an evaluate that seizes the entire full weight of the windows, hence allowing that custom-cut plus “floated” in tough adhesive for water-resistant reliability. Engine room on the salon console is accessed via hatches; the engine itself is secured by double-gusseted steel brackets bolted firmly into one piece.
More to the salon, the 346 utilized a unique design that makes the salon extend to the entire beam of the boat. There’s an open floor layout plan which accommodates plush couch and love seat made of ultra-leather that is not just easy to look after, but it is of durability as well. Further, both seats feature ample storage beneath. While for entertainment pleasure, there’s a TV/VCR/ Stereo radio cassette and optional CD player that can be install for more listening delight. Over in the dinning area, there’s a retractable table that can be easily removed and stored in its own custom storage rack positioned behind the lounge – an advantageous feature when need for more room is necessitated.
Sound Equipped Galley
The well equipped galley has all the necessary appliances for preparing either small or full course sit victuals. As far as accommodations are concerned, the 346 has two fully appointed staterooms; like all the great dreams, it’s pretty plain here, in the guest stateroom located forward has an oversized double berth, plenty of stowage compartment and adjoining headed shower. And carver has elevated the use of space to an art form illustrated in the master stateroom located aft. It features a queen-sized berth, smart use of storage space, a full-sized shower head as well as entertainment center with a TV/VCR. All in all, both VIP and Master incorporated plenty of hanging lockers, shelves, bins and other stowage areas. More to the interior, you’ll notice optional filter joined into the sanitary system to stop holding tank stench. The mirrors are directly overhead the sinks and not away at some neck-broaden angle.
Up On The Bridge
On the top side, the Carver has accommodated more exciting characteristics. For example entertaining on the bridge is simplified, with a spacious L-shaped seating with storage beam. A wet bar and a refrigerator means you don’t have to go below for refreshments. The helm itself affords the 346’s skipper all round visibility, comfortable seating and practical console with enough room for all the necessary electronics.
Business End
While on the business end of things; Carvers engineers have really proved many wrong this time – using an efficiently designed and unbelievably acquired cooler generator set for the 346. Cooler offers this gen set with an optional 7.3kw gas or an 8.0kw diesel version. Maintenance is a snap – thanks to the large panel doors that facilitate easy access of all required ports. With a fairly low core of gravity, the Carver 346 Motoryacht does not only give a secure and unwavering ride underway, but also offering outstanding visibility even towards the stern while docking.
On Planing
Her performance is indeed reputable, with a top end of 33.7mph. While on a new Merc 8.1 S gas inboards, it remarkably places her up on plane in just 8.4 seconds. The Carver 346 has pleasurable ride even on bad weather. In fact, the boat has stability during acute turns and most credit goes to her Teleflex SeaStar hydraulic steering which provides a remarkable handling on top cruise levels. Out on a drive, powered on twin 370 horse power Merc Cruiser 8.1 spheres up to a cruising speed of 25.1 miles an hour at 3500rpm, at that speed she gives a total fuel burn of 36.2 gallons an hour resulting in a cruising range of 122 miles. As mentioned earlier, her top speed of 33.7mph at 4400 rpm gives a quick planing time of at just 8.4 seconds.
Of course, times have changed in regard to exterior styling; but things have stayed the same on the 346 MotorYacht , still with two staterooms on both ends of the boat, a full beam salon and all the placates of home that has made the Aft-cabin Motoryacht in high demand in the first place!
