Black Lives Matter Movement
The Black Lives Matter Movement refers to a decentralized political and social movement advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against the continued incidences of police brutality as well as the racially motivated violence against people of African descent. Based on this, the movement advocates for black people’s rights, especially against police use of violence by the police in the United States. Also, the movement aims at advocating for various policy changes that are considered to promote black liberation. In terms of origin, the Black Lives Matter Movement began as a hashtag #BlackLivesMatter which saw circulation on social media after the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting that resulted in the death of Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old teen of the African American descent who was shot dead in February 2012.
The Black Lives Matter movement has been vocal in advocating for black people’s rights and freedoms. Based on this spirit, the movement’s platform published in 2016 in August, entitled “A Vision for Black Lives: Policy Demands for Black Power, Freedom and justice.” The platform postulated six demands that included: an end to the war on the black people, reparations for past and continuing harms, as well as community controls of the laws, institutions, and policies that most impact us. Also, the platform demands the divestment from the institutions that criminalize, cage, and harm black people, and investment in the education, health, and safety of black people. In addition, the platform advocated for economic justice for all as well the reconstruction of the economy to ensure that the communities have collective ownership, not merely access. Another demand from the Black lives Matter platform includes the independent black political power and Black self-determination in all areas of the society.
Race can be defined as a grouping of human being based on a shared characteristic such as physical or social qualities into categories that are generally perceived as being distinct by society. Based on the above demands advocated by the Black Lives Matter Movement, racism can be considered as permanent as it is propagated in terms of dominant races over others. White supremacists often consider the white race as superior to that of the blacks, leading to racism being recognized across the globe. Based on this, societies around the world have adopted the issues of racism, perpetuating it to become a permanent idea.
Racial prejudice is defined as hostility directed towards people of a different race or color from those perpetrating the injustices. On the other hand, racism refers to the belief that some human groups possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on one race’s superiority over another. Based on the definition of racism, it is evident that racial prejudice is propagated by superior or dominant races over those considered as minor or inferior races. For example, white supremacists perceive their race as superior to that of African Americans, which explains why there has been continued perpetration of injustices against people of Black color, not only by the police but also by the ordinally white citizens.

A Review of “Retracing the Evolutionary Path that Led to Flea-borne Transmission of Yersinia pestis.”
The article is a report on an experiment that describes the precise mechanistic and genetic basis of the Y pestis evolutionary adaptation to the transmission of fleas. To exemplify this scientists’, conduct a gene comparison that are included the c-di-GMP Biofilm formulation and metabolism in Y pestis and Y. pseudotuberculosis. Genes that are denoted in red represent the pseudogenes in Y. pestis KIM, and the DGC3 gene which is observed to be functional in Y. pestisstrains. The lines in dash represent the indirect repression and mechanisms that are undefined in nature. Ultimately, the scientists replace the Y. pestis rcsA pseudogene with Y. pseudotuberculosis homolog that is fully functional and this results in a significant reduction of the ability to obstruct fleas. This indicates that transmissibility is enhanced by the loss of genes. gene loss enhances transmissibility.
Comprehension on the certain changes in genes is needed for the characterization of phenotypic effects on transmissibility and flea infection, transition to the lifestyle of arthropod-borne and the recapitulation of the evolutionary pathways that lead to the transmission of fleas is essential. Dependence on fleas for transmission purposes would have led to the imposition of discerning pressure for many invasive clones that are improved in the disseminating from sites of flea bites and high threshold bacterial levels that are needed in flea infection.
The study is important as it focuses on the mechanisms of vector-borne transmissibility and the flea interactions. The Y. pestis strains and also the genes that are nearest to Y. Pseudotuberculosis progenitor at the PDE3-pe mutation, PDE2 pseudogene and the minimum contain ymt. The scientist was able to find out that only four changes occur in the bacterial progenitor, representing three gen losses and a single gene gain, enhanced transmission by the flea vectors. The next experiment that scientists should take can involve how gene loss can be as important as gene acquisition to the evolutionary process.

Black Lives Matter and Use of Body Camera
Introduction
Introduce beginning of Black Lives Matter Movement
Talk of the killings and maiming of minority groups including statistical representation
Thesis statement: This paper will generally examine Black B Lives, Movement and the use of body camera to help reduce police brutality
Extent of police brutality.
Why are African Americans mostly targets of police brutality?
Police seem to target African Americans and most attacks seem to be racially motivated
There are laws in place that seem to contribute of police brutality such as Stop and Search laws
Recants protests on black lives matter
George Floyd’s murder led to a lot of protests all over United States most people stating the protests are no longer peaceful.
Colin Kaeprick did a protest where he knelt and got a lot of back lash including the fact that it was disrespectful but now people believe he was right
Incorporate ideas of Malcolm X and Martin Luther on peaceful protest when it comes to matters of racism.
Implementation of body cameras to help reduce police brutality
Most police brutality cases are usually the words of the officer against the police use of cameras would help
Use of body cameras will help show the side of the story if excessive force will be used.
Blue Code of silence is the leading reason as to why most police officers get away with brutality.
Conclusion
Achievements that have been achieved by the BLM.
Summarize on the all lives matter debate
What more can be done to ensure racially motivated killings are reduced.
