Your midterm project will have you as the designer and developer of a classroom environment that reflects all that you have learned about development of young children and the theories and principles that support how best to care for and teach young children.

For your midterm project, you will write an academic essay, 3 pages in length, following APA format. Sources, including your textbook, must be cited throughout your essay, and stated on a reference page. APA format must be addressed through the following: Times New Roman, size 12 font, double spaced. Include an Abstract, which summarizes your essay, on the very first page. The following aspects should be included in your Midterm Essay:

1. Explain the safety precautions that are necessary for early childhood classrooms. Include descriptions related to poisonous substances, sun safety, and fire safety measures. Include information about how medical emergencies should be handled. (chapter 11 (paragraph 4)
