Professional Development Plan
Plan a professional development – Identify an area in your school or district that could benefit from professional
development. It could be a PD for administrators or teachers. Create the plan for professional develop
thoroughly. Include the following:
Identify the area of concern.
Identify the target group to attend.
Research available materials and trainers.
Identify a venue for the PD.
Identify the jobs that will be needed to effectively carry out the program i.e., Catering, printing material,
docents, etc.
Assign people needed for the jobs.
Develop budget and seek budget approval.
Establish a timeline for implementation.
Develop a process to evaluate the success and effectiveness of the PD
