INDIVIDUAL SWOT ANALYSIS
You will be responsible for selecting a company, product, and/or service (TAX/CPA). In order to do this analysis properly, you must also look at the competitors (Liberty Tax Service, H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, TurboTax). Upon doing enough marketing research, you should be able to figure out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Once you have been able to identify these variables in-depth, the student will be responsible for converting the weaknesses to strengths and the threats to opportunities. You will illustrate how by matching the strengths to opportunities, you come up with a competitive advantage. On the average, the SWOT Analysis is between 5-7 pages, typewritten, double-space, 12 pt. Although what works for one organization may not work for another, organizations might find it helpful to revise and build upon existing programs from inside and/or outside the healthcare industry. For this Discussion, you examine a compensation
and benefits program and provide recommendations for improvement.
To prepare for this Discussion:
Locate an example of an innovative compensation or benefits program from within or outside the health care industry.
Evaluate the program you selected.
Why, in your opinion, is the program effective? Consider the program features, its intended outcomes, and how those outcomes are met.
How might you improve upon the program?
How might you apply this program to your current or future health care organization?
