Read the case at the end of Chapter 1 entitled, “The Union Carbide-Bhopal Case” Chapter 1 pages 53-55 and answer the question at the end of the case and the one I ask for below. Prepare at least a one to two paged single-spaced response to the questions at the end of the case.

My thoughts on this case:
I find this case to be an excellent way of:
1. Starting to think about your values. I have found that one of the most effective ways of fostering learning in ethics is to create a dynamic where class members are led to discuss issues and to share their values and beliefs.
2. Developing a greater awareness and appreciation of more ethical issues.
Often people are influenced by their circumstances to think narrowly about their own interests, or to dismiss views contrary to their own as harebrained, but when their colleagues express them, they listen and develop an appreciation for them. So think about what others might feel to get a broader view. This is where the additional resources I post below come in handy!
3. Stimulating the desire to learn more about ethics.
Bhopal-Union Carbide provides ample opportunity for stimulating thought about real issues: issues that are relevant and important to business and to professionals. As a result, people see the importance of learning more about ethics and making ethical decisions.
4. Exploring the following specific ethical issues, among others (things to help you as you go through your case answers):

D. Assessment directions: The purpose of this assessment is to demonstrate your ability to describe an overview and foundation of psychiatric/mental health nursing care and to articulate your assessment using language of the discipline of psychiatric mental health practitioners. Before you begin this assessment, you will need a good understanding of a foundational overview of psychiatric mental health. Synthesize resources to accurately & thoroughly define 1) milieu therapy, 2) crisis intervention and 3) the use of pharmacological, biological and complementary interventions. Describe how mental health nursing uses each of these interventions. Answer the following

Guidelines for Submission:
A case study gives you the opportunity to review Modern Management concepts and apply them to a specific scenario. With a minimum of 3 full pages and at least 4 academic sources, prepare a summary analysis of the assigned case study that includes the following:
- The first paragraph should identify and summarize the key point(s) or problem(s) presented in the case.
- Type and answer each question located at the end of the case. Support your answers/perspective with examples and/or evidence.
- Connect a minimum of five (5) specific principles, concepts, or key terms from the chapter(s) to the case study. Identify each with bold font. You will not receive credit if the principles, concepts, key terms are not in bold font. Thoroughly explain why the principle, concept, or key term is applicable to this case.
- Thoroughly answer the following additional question: How can a manager use and apply what you have learned from the case? Provide examples.
- In addition to your textbook, you must use at least three additional resources (for a total of four resources) to support your thoughts. Be sure to properly cite your references using APA citation method.
APA Guidelines: All papers must be in proper APA format which includes at least the following:
- A properly formatted title page that is doubled-spaced and includes your name, title of paper, and School’s name in the center of the page.
- All papers must be double-spaced, with a Times New Roman, Courier New, or Arial size 12 font.
- Include section headings (the questions at the end of the case can be your section headings). Section headings should be bolded.
- All paragraphs must be indented 0.5” from the left margin.
- You must include a reference page. References must be properly formatted, double-spaced, with the first line of the entry left justified, and following lines of the entry a hanging indent.
