Critical Review Paper – Essay format External contextual factors are taken into consideration in the successful running of events. These factors are: Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, Legal/Regulatory and Organisational.

Find a news media article relating to an Australian event, identify 2 contextual factors in the article and discuss how these present as opportunities or threats to the event. Based on this discussion make recommendations as to how the event can remain competitive in the future.

In addition to the initial article, utilize peer-reviewed journal articles, explore the event’s website, annual reports, and other media coverage to gather the necessary evidence, and ground your recommendations in both your analysis of the event and your examination of the contextual factors.

Inclusions: The initial news media article must have been published between 1 January 2019 and 1 March 2020 and focus on an event that has already taken place in Australia. Consult the rubric available in e to ensure you have a clear understanding of the marking criteria.
Word limit: maximum 1,200 words Include the word count at the end of your paper prior to the reference list. This list is available under Assessments in Important: An entire lecture session (week 3) has been devoted to assisting you to prepare for this assignment. This includes a pre-lecture activity that you are required to submit prior to coming to the class. This activity will take you around 15 minutes to complete online, and includes a ‘sample essay’ to rank against the marking criteria – this is called ‘benchmarking’. This activity will then be unpacked for you during the session by your teaching team.

Submit as a single word document to Turnitin by 11:00pm on (or before) the due date. A signed Assignment Cover Sheet must be included in your submission. Submissions received after 11:00pm on the due date will be considered late and incur a 10% penalty of the total value of the assignment per 24hr period. PDF document submissions will not be accepted.

The Course Reflection is worth 100 points (10%) and will be graded on quality of selfassessment, use of citations, use of Standard English grammar, sentence structure, and overall organization based on the required components as summarized in the directions and grading
criteria/rubric.

The length of the reflection is to be within three to six pages excluding title page and reference
pages.
APA format is required with both a title page and reference page. Use the required components
of the review as Level 1 headers (upper and lower case, centered):

competencies for the BSN-prepared nurse. Reflect on the NUR3165 course readings, discussion
threads, and applications you have completed across this course and write a reflective essay

Secondly, I have had a couple of emails now from students asking about the number of references expected in the short-answer assessments. So that everyone has the same information, here is the response to that question:

Other than the couple of questions in Assessment 2, where you are asked to “provide your own example” of something, I would expect to see at least one reference in each question.

The textbook is suitable to use as a reference, but I’m looking for students to engage with this as more than just a ‘pick the right answer out of the textbook’ exercise. In most cases, the textbook author cites academic studies – they might be something you can read to broaden your understanding.

Saying that, I realise 50 words is a tight limit, so I’m not expecting you to be reading 4 or 5 articles and citing them all for each question.
