Ethnomethodological Experiment

Act as a sociologist and conduct an ethnomethodological experiment.

Ethnomethodology is the study of how people make sense of what others say or do in the course of day-to-day interaction.

One way ethnomethodologists study norms is to violate them.

When disrupted, the norms of a particular situation become evident when those involved attempt to restore normalcy and/or have adverse reactions.

Your assignment is to conduct an ethnomethodological experiment by violating the norms of a situation and taking note of the reactions of those involved.

Once you’ve completed the experiment, you or your group should write a minimum of one full page, double-spaced, type-written essay, describing:

1. The experiment you conducted;

Your summary should outline the broad facts and situation from the case, summarizing the current situation as it relates to the prescribed theme. Please note that you are not required to solve the case, just show an understanding of the current situation relative to the theme.

You are required to use 1½ line spacing with 12-point fonts and the summaries must not exceed one page in length.

Critical Analysis of Evidence Activity

Choose a piece of research or literature relating to a management issue to be reviewed.

Discuss and critically analyse the quality of the evidence, how it relates to previous management theory and whether it is generalisable to your workplace setting.

Ensure literature and research is referenced correctly. it should be Harvard style referencing Critical Analysis of Evidence Activity in healthcare management.
