Here is a general description of the final paper.
Health Policy Analysis -Final paper writing assignment: The student will select a health issue
currently facing the American public. . The final paper must include the items on the Checklist for
Writing a Policy Analysis set out in Chapter 14, page 289 of our e-text. Please see the final
project-scoring rubric at the end of this syllabus. This assignment is worth 15% of your grade.
You will be presenting this analysis at the end of our semester during week 13. (Check list
included in separate link, as well as previous assignment)
Your paper should be no more than 5 pages long.
Please remember that this is a health policy and politics course. It is not a health course. Please
DO NOT submit a paper that discusses say, the causes of and treatment for a disease. Discuss
the health care policies that manage that disease in our country and your analysis of that policy.
Your final paper which will be a health care policy analysis. You will get to complete steps 1 and
2 as part of your discussion board in Week 8 (). The Week 8 discussion board is 15% of your
grade so do not miss out! The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop job skills you
will need in the health services management marketplace. It will help you develop critical thinking
skills when analyzing health care policies that may positively or adversely affect your institution,
your patients, your neighborhood, your city or your nation.

Mindful Eating Class: Nutrition
> Write on the relationship between mindful eating and diabetes
Write a 500- to 750-word paper that analyzes a research study (pick one of the studies listed in
the Module 3 Resources since you have full-text access to these particular ones) on the
relationship between mindful eating and one of the following: eating disorders, diabetes, obesity
or food cravings.
Answers the following questions using the readings in this module
Why did the researchers do this study? What did they seek to learn? In a nutshell, what was
known about the problem prior to performing their study?
Describe the essential details, parameters or design features of the study.
What did the researchers find?
What were the limitations of the study?
What are the theoretical or practical implications of the study?
How will the results of this study inform your practice of mindful eating and/or how you work with
clients around these concepts?
Currents research supports the use of mindful eating practices as an adjunct in managing eating
disorders, obesity, and diabetes, among other conditions. Nutritionists and coaches can enhance
their effectiveness with clients by gaining a greater understanding of research-based mindful
eating approaches.
Course Objective
Apply findings from mindful eating research to help a client create a personal mindful eating plan.
Module Outcomes
Analyze one key research study on the relationship between mindful eating and one of the
following: eating disorders, diabetes, obesity or food cravings.
Select mindful eating resources (print, audio, and video) to address different client concerns or
problems.
Implement mindful eating journal techniques that can be used by clients to create their own
mindful eating plan
