Nursing Ethical Issues

Aim: This aim of this paper is to explore one ethical issue that you identified during your current
clinical placement and to develop strategies that would restore or enhance the ethics in the
situation and promote either autonomy or justice. You will use one of the seven value statements
from the CNA Code of Ethicsto help you identify and analyze the ethical issue. You will use the
peer reviewed scholarly literature to support your strategies. A secondary aim is to evaluate your
ethical reasoning so that you can describe how you would know that your plan has enhanced the
integration of the value statement and created a positive impact on patients or the ethical
community.
Paper Details:
This paper must use APA 6th edition formatting. The maximum length does not include the
references or title page. Please see the grading scheme for grades distribution. Should your paper be longer than six APA formatted pages, the additional pages will not be graded as part of
this assignment.
You are required to use three peer reviewed journal articles from the ethics literature. You cannot
use articles that were part of the syllabus. Additional (and necessary) sources such as the CNO
standards and references to support your theory do not count towards the required three peer
reviewed journal articles.

Typical and Atypical Behaviour vs Normality and Abnormality

Please do an 10-12 minutes individual presentation covering the following points:

  • Distinguish between typical and atypical behaviour
  • Explain the way in which two classification systems are used
  • Evaluate the two classification systems, in terms of their strengths and weaknesses
  • Explain and evaluate at least one model of atypical behaviour, apply this model to a mental illness of your choice
  • Explain the key features of at least one model of explaining mental health
  • Evaluate the model/models of mental health that you use
  • Apply the model/models to highlight how they would explain a specific illness.

Your work should include in-text referencing and a reference list of sources using the Harvard referencing system

You must agree in advance with the tutor the mental illness and the model you are covering during the presentation

You may submit a draft of your assignment to your tutor for comments but this must be done well before the submission date to enable you to make any changes and still hand your assignment in on time.

Design a Comprehensive Learning and Development Leadership Program

As the executive learning and development director for a midsized global petroleum organization, you have been asked by the chief human resources officer (CHRO) to create a report on how you envision the design of a new leadership program for the organization’s 50 management and executives in leadership teams across four different departments: sales, marketing, finance, and engineering. These teams span three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In your report, please include the elements below.

  • Include an introductory paragraph with the name of your fictitious company, where the home office is located (you choose this), how long the company has been in business, and some background information. Do not use the name of or information about a real company.
  • Discuss your leadership development strategy, and give a vision to this strategy. For example, what are the outcomes of having a leadership development program for the organization?
  • Discuss how you plan to assess leadership capabilities.
  • Explain two to three assessment tools that you will use to identify leadership capabilities for each department.
  • Explain two to three leadership development methods for each department, taking into consideration cultures in each region—the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Then, conclude your report by describing the benefits that a formal leadership development program will have on the organization. For example, explain why a leadership development program is important and how it enhances the organization’s competitiveness.

Your completed scholarly activity must be at least two pages in length and include at least three outside sources, two of which must come from the University  Online Library. Adhere to APA guidelines when constructing this assignment, and include in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.
