In order to analyze modern cultures around the world, cultural anthropologists will try to recognize traits or processes linked to a society’s
environment, infrastructure, social structure, and superstructure.
Create a 500 word minimum post covering your reactions to the film First Contact: Lost Tribe of the Amazon (2016) and Chapters 8 and 14 in the textbook(The Essence of Anthropology 4th Edition by William Haviland, Harald E. L. Prins, Dana Walrath, and Bunny McBride). Discuss the components of the various cultures that appear in the film (i.e. apply lessons from Chapter 8 using examples from the film). Then discuss how politics (i.e. lessons from Chapter 14) operates (effectively or perhaps ineffectively) in this part of the Amazon.
