Effects of Color in Humans

Assignment Instructions:
Option One – Select an article that discusses the physical, psychological, sociological, or
emotional influence of color on humans from the periodicals found in a library. Sinclair’s library
offers a wide range of psychological and design journals.
The article will relate to the chapters studied or to be studied in class.
Read the article and write a review in the following format:
Thesis statement – a quick statement indicating the content or central theme of the article. This element is to peak the reader’s interest, it is written in “third person”, and should be short, about
one or two sentences.
The main body – constructs a framework of the article’s content. It is best to outline the main
findings of the document, in “third person”, and using your own words to avoid plagiarism!
Opinion Statement:/Conclusion – summary of the article showing relevance to the text chapters
covered in class. State your opinion (first person) of the article’s content. Be certain to justify your
opinion with facts sited from the text book or other research, document sited work (references,
research) with footnotes at the bottom of your paper
Limited to two pages.
Prepare a 5 – 10 minute presentation on your findings (may consider a PowerPoint
presentation).
