Great post. I agree with your definition on white privilege especially where you highlighted how they get different benefits in life because of their skin color. Being in the 21st Century, it is said that this is still a thing that exists. Criminal justice may be the most highlighted area when it comes to comparing if the issue of white privilege exists. Look at the sentencing African Americans as well as other minorities often get when compared to whites. One particular case I have often followed is the case of Ramad Chatman a 24-year-old African American who was found not guilty by the jury but was still sentenced to serve seven years in prison. Considering it was his first offence I believe if it was a white man the sentencing would not be the same

Great highlight in your post on how “white passing Latino” may also get the white privilege. There have also been reports of some “black” but get white privilege most of them have a single black parent and a white parent. Race and opportunity has often been something discussed and it is sad that skin color still seem to matter even when it comes to showing basic human decency. When it comes to criminal justice, white privilege is still seen as mostly people of color get harsher sentencing, or a person is suspected to be a criminal just because of their skin color. Most people often do not want to admit that white privilege exists and this is why it is hard to tackle the issue.
