Summary:
Groups remain the context for most of our social and work activities. The powerful impact that groups have on people and the powerful influence
that people have on groups merit an in-depth analysis of the phenomenon of groups and teams. In this module, we defined what is meant by a
group, why people join a group, and interactions that occur between members during their association. We explored group dynamics, a complex
subject that attempts to provide us with some understanding of how individuals interact with one another and how those interactions become
visible in our resulting behavior. This module also detailed the composition, structure, formation, and decision-making process of groups. Finally,
we concluded with a focus on teams and various team-building techniques available to managers.
