High Risk Maternity Perinatal Loss

Search the literature and identify 2 nursing NCLEX questions related to your topic. All references are within
current and within the past 5 years. Certified nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, and nurse practitioners are
beyond the scope of the RN so research from advance practice professional journals may not apply to basic
RN clinical practice issues.
Integrate research from the nursing literature to support practice recommendations on your topic. The sources
of the research are only allowed to be from peer reviewed professional nursing journals.
The reference page will incorporate correct APA formatting.
The project will address the following:
-Background Information on Topic:
-Describe the pathophysiology, diagnostics, and nursing assessment criteria. Associate the pathophysiology to
the development of actual problems or potential risk factors for the woman and/or fetus.
-Consider nursing assessment & nursing diagnoses. (Ricci textbook may provide good background information
here.)
-Nursing Implications/Interventions: Demonstrate a relationship between the topic and the role of the nurse to
promote positive patient outcomes.
-Therapeutic management and nursing management should be included.
-Describe and detail specific nursing interventions and provide rationale, supported by the literature. (Journal
articles should be incorporated into this section to support best practice recommendations, in addition to
textbook.)
-Client Education, Support and Coping: Considering the topic, the nurse may need to address expanded
aspects of holistic care. (Journal articles and the text may be used in this section.)
