This is a paper about the condition multiple sclerosis AND patient communication with oral health literacy and health literacy as the primary thesis. Please include in your paper the answer to those questions below as it relates to being a dental hygienist in practice:
1. the disease itself
2. its impact on communication (barriers that the disease/condition presents)
3. any accommodations that must be made
4. ethical and/or legal obligations associated with the disease/condition (consent, privacy,
etc.)
5. why the healthcare practitioner should be aware of these factors that affect
communication
6. how the healthcare practitioner would deal with the situation (treatment modifications).
This paper must focus on numbers 2-6 above more so than an
informative paper on the disease only.
