Team Composition and Team Development
1. Watch Lecture 10-1: Team Composition, Size & Task and Lecture 10-2: Team Composition, Differences
2. Watch Lecture 11-1: Team Development
3. Read Teamwork on the Fly. Edmonson, A., Harvard Business Review. April 2012, pp. 72-80.
Each week you will find application readings drawn from the Harvard Business Review and other business outlets. These short articles will always have connections with the content of the session. These readings will usually deal with real world management challenges. For most modules, you will write a paragraph or two with your “takeaways” from the readings associated with the topic of that module. These should describe a “Takeaways” from the reading(s) that struck you as something that you could apply to your current or future managerial tasks.
Assessment of your responses to these cases will focus on:
Clarity of describing the idea from the reading.
Attempt to relate the ideas from the reading to your experience.
Evaluative reactions to the ideas in the article (Positive and/or negative).
