PayPal, which is the online payment system for eBay, allows transactions almost in all countries across the globe. The company proclaims trust between sellers and buyers as the core to the success of the business. The World’s Online Marketplace, which is the eBay’s mission statement, means a lot of things regarding the identity of the company. It allows trade on international, national and local basis with passionate and diverse community of small businesses and individuals. The company provides a web-based platform where items in their millions are traded on daily basis. The company’s objective was to establish the work culture and ethics of eBay as a trusting, open and fun environment and to ensure the company focused on the key priorities and the big picture objectives.
eBay market capitalization is much higher than that of Amazon.com, thus rendering it the world’s most valuable online retailer. It founder Pierre Omidyar, is focused to attain success in strategic management for enhancing eBay’s strategy, sustaining the business performance and growth of the company and potentially growing from internet auctions to general retailing and to be the world’s biggest internet mall.
This project is a proposal for improving performance and monitoring of eBay’s website.
