This module introduces students to individual differences in both personality and ability. The module begins by looking at theories of personality and how personality is measured. It then focuses of theories of intelligence and how that is measured. Finally, it will look at the use of psychometrics in educational settings. Throughout the module there will be an emphasis on practical applications of psychology and how it impacts on education.Summative assessment:

Portfolio – An evaluation of the use of testing throughout the school career, to cover
primary and/or secondary education, by negotiating on (equivalent to 4000 words).
