Corporate communications
Currys/PC World holds communication in very high esteem which is better demonstrated by the large amount of money that is spend in crafting an effective communication strategy (Dowdey, 2002). One important attribute of Currys/ PC World communication strategy is the way it directly target the needs of its target market (Guffey, 2009). This is in realization of the fact that communication strategy ought to be more of just speaking or even conveying an idea, which essentially mean that the message ought to be conveyed effectively and efficiently with the target market or the recipient being capable to understand the message in an effective manner (Guffey, 2009).
There are a number of mediums that Currys/ PC World employs to improve its communication pattern majority of which rely not only on new technologies abut also modernized ones. In this regard, Currys/PC World and a number of other companies are focusing on internet which is no doubt a feasible mean of communication (Thill, & Bovee, 2009). This is not a new thing since the electronic mediums of communication have proved to be favorable in short and long run (Thill, & Bovee, 2009). It is important to know that the clarity of the message together with its timing are two important elements of the communication process. However, irrespective of there being a clear communication, proper timing, or the existence of an effective communication strategy, proper selection of the target market has to be considered (Thill, & Bovee, 2009).
Just about every business organization wants to get the best person handle its communication issues as part of its marketing plan. The question that follow is who has the potential of handling communication issues in the best way possible at a minimal cost among the PR marketing people, the traditional PR agency or any other option out there. In the recent cases the answer to this question has been a resounding third option, in this case referring to an independent communication consultant. These questions have led to the people opting for independent communication consultants. Moreover, they are known for their responsiveness, dedication, experience and low cost. The low cost is because the work is always outsourced, therefore, the company will not spend money on the salaries of the employees together with the cost of furniture, computers, benefits support staff and the telephone bills. The other thing is that there will not be time wasting in the company because of meetings, pervasive e-mail, memos and other kinds of distractions. These are precisely the reasons that have made a huge number of business organizations to prefer outsourcing not only communication services, but also majority of the vital services that their organizations require (Airfoil Public Relations, 2010). It is also precisely the same reasons that have prompted curry/PC world to prefer outsourcing it communication services.
Before making a decision whether the idea of outsourcing the jobs is the best idea, it is better to understand some of the pros and cons that are associated with the outsourcing the jobs. One of the advantages that the company is going to enjoy is the independent consultation and media access. This is because there will be multiple clients from different aspect of communication. On the other hand, the outsourcer will be able to reach higher heights of interaction since it will be a give and take situation with the client. The other advantage is that the cost of labor will be cheaper. This is due to the fact that outsourcing has been noted to be quiet cost effective than the hiring of a traditional agency or at times maintaining a corporate communication division mean that Currys/PC will be saving tremendously from the arrangement.
Thirdly, the company will enjoy the public relation services on a wider perspective as they will not be confined on a small space. Moreover, it is said that whenever one outsources work, it is buying consultant’s skills, experience, and brainpower instead of supporting financially a fancy office and benefits (Jon, 2004). As for traditional agencies, majority of them are known to make their profits through marking up the time that their employees have expended on a client’s works. In some places, fresh graduates perform most of duties of the PR. Therefore, by outsourcing communication services Currys/PC avoids a number of negative things that are associated with the traditional communication or PR department in any organization.
However, as the company is going to benefit from outsourcing of the works in the company, some cons should be considered in relation to outsourcing. One major disadvantage of our sourcing their work is that after the signing of the contract to hand over the management of a department handling the communication functions of a company to another outsourced consultant, Curry/PC loses the managerial control of that marketing department or PR division to that other outsourced company (William, 2008). In some cases, the same mission and goals of the company will not drive the outsourced company. Therefore, they might find themselves not meeting the required expectations of the company. Majority of PR firms in private practice will always be driven by the need for profit, which will most definitely be prejudicial to the interests of the contracting company (Kamuk, & Schiffman, 2006).
The other disadvantage the company will have is that the company might be tied to the contract that will end up making the company to be tied to other company’s financial well-being (Goodman, 1994). Therefore, it would not even be the first time an outsourcing entity could bankrupt and leave a company holding-the-bag. That is why it is vital for the company to be careful when outsourcing its work.

there will be an increased exposure of the program and thus more funding. The local authorities understand the urgency and needs of the local street families and thus they will be essential in funding. The platform will also increase the possibility of a diverse and open funding thus add to the accountability and reliability of the project. Funding can sometimes pose a challenge if not well coordinated. To address this matter
the project will be hinged on the right avenues that can help bring in more people to support its agenda. The best way to endure proper and adequate future funding is to show how the project will benefit the community.

Unit 2: Declaration of Independence and Public Safety
There are many artifacts that are hidden within sight every day. One of the many artifacts that many Americans take for granted, and of forgotten about is the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence is an artifact because of what it resembles, and also what it allowed an entire group of people to do. This document helped solidify the future of many generations in and around the once newly formed United States of America. The Declaration of Independence called for separation from British rule, but that is not just the only reason why the Declaration of Independence is so important.
There are many challenges that law enforcement agencies or government faces when it comes to enforcing public safety at the same time protect the rights of individuals. The United States is a country that is a representative of democracy. In other words, the laws reflect the will of the people and the government officials reflect and enforce the laws and rules according to federal, state and local guidelines. This also means that we elect our officials and they are sworn to uphold the laws and duties of their respective offices. The citizens of this country pay taxes in order for the government to function and to provide services to help public safety and protecting life and property against those who wish to take them away.
The Declaration of Independence is a document of what the people of the thirteen colonies believed in, freedom. Freedom of what though? Not just speech, but also military and government rule that conflicts with the God given rights of a human being. There can be no real change in the Declaration of Independence, but rather what will time do to the document. Most people now take this important piece of history for granted because of how long ago it was put together. If people take the Declaration of Independence for granted, then the true aspect of freedom will be gone in the past.
There are many types of government officials, from local mayors to state governors and all the way to those who work for the federal government. Each type is given powers in which they perform their duties. Federal government officials are sworn to uphold the United States Constitution. According to the Constitution the federal government was intended to “form a more perfect union, establish Justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”
Most state governments are modeled after the three branch system of government like the federal government, although it is not required by law to follow suit. Each state has their Constitution as well as having powers not giving to the federal government. States have an executive branch led by a governor and his staff to uphold the laws of their respective state. They also have a legislative branch which includes elected representatives who votes on proposed laws. They are also responsible for the state tax as well as approving the budget for the state. States also have a judicial branch who is led by their supreme courts as well as appeals courts. Local governments are responsible for public services such as police and fire departments as well as local schools. All of the officials that work for the government play an important role in promoting and protecting the rights of their citizens.
The roles of security personnel play an important role in public safety. They have six main goals or functions in security. The first main role is to prevent crimes from occurring. They can do this by maintaining and observing their surroundings at all times. Just like police officers, security must be visible in order to deter criminals or to let them know what they can expect if they try to do something bad. The next responsibility is to remain vigilant in their duties as to observe any suspicious activities. They must also observe and report any incident they observe. It is important to list any description to a suspect and report their findings to their supervisor. If there is a situation that may become violent or a weapon present, security must contact local authorities and try not to apprehend the person by themselves. The last main role of security is to follow the rules and guidelines by their employer and make sure that the place or people that hired them are safe. But it is also important for those working security is that they are not the police and do not have the legal power to arrest a person.
Citizens play a key role in the safety of society. This nation is all about choices. We make choices every day in our life. We decide to get out of bed and go to work. We decide to vote on a particular issue or elect a president. We choose whether or not to conform to society’s rules and laws. Our Founding Fathers sought a nation in which favors those of high virtue. People have two main obligations. One is to their families and how they support themselves and the other is to society. The more reckless and irresponsible individuals are and are becoming the worse it is for society. Money is coming out of taxpayer’s wallets because we have too many who decide to break the law and are sent to prison. It seems like a distant memory in which John F. Kennedy made the famous quote” Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can for your country.” Citizens can make a big difference.
