SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RESEARCH-CONCLUSION SECTION GUIDELINES
Instructions
The fourth and last draft section of your Research Proposal to complete this semester is the Significance of the Research section. It can also be considered the Conclusion section (especially since discussing the significance of the proposed research study is always a strong way to conclude a Research Proposal). It is due on Sunday, November 20th by 11:55 pm, along with the draft of your Data Analysis section. Please be sure to read the brief required online article by Patrick Regoniel, “Two Tips on How to Write the Significance of a Study” before you begin this assignment. The Significance of the Research section for a Research Proposal should be about one to two pages, double-spaced and typed. Please provide the section with the heading titled, Significance of the Research, or, Conclusion.
Rubric
The Significance of the Research Section for this assignment must include the following three subsections and content to be considered for full credit:
1. Significance of the Proposed Research to the Field [one to two paragraphs] Please be sure to restate your research question or statement of the problem one last time and focus on the following: How is your specific statement of the problem interesting, different from current literature, original, or worthy? Does it “fill a gap” in the literature or push ideas in the literature forward somehow? What might your proposed study demonstrate, and how might this change things for how people think about your topic/the subjects involved in the study/or how to do things differently in the world? Please provide two possible examples with details. It is ok to provide informed detailed speculation and to restate/rephrase some things you may have already said in the Introduction/Literature Review section.
2. Significance of the Proposed Research to the General Public [one to two paragraphs] How might your proposed study contribute to general society? Might it introduce a new variable or framing of the question for consideration about humans or the environment? Might it change public opinion about something? Might it inform new understanding, practices or policies on a large-scale? Please provide two possible examples with details. Again, it is ok to provide informed detailed speculation and to restate/rephrase some things you may have already said in the Introduction/Literature Review section.
3. Significance of the Proposed Research to Project Participants and/or Their Communities [one to two paragraphs] How might your proposed study contribute to the lives of your project participants or the communities of which they are a part? Might it inform new understanding, practices or policies for that specific group or community? Please provide two possible examples with details. Again, it is ok to provide informed detailed speculation.
And as always, please remember: You can always post questions about this assignment to the “Questions for the Professor” thread on our Blackboard course Discussion Board or email the professor at: rachael.stryker@csueastbay.edu Also, please be sure to be reading the professor’s feedback on your RCR for Week 14 assignment, as there will be helpful feedback and clarifications there that will help you draft this section of your Research Proposal.

Significance of the Proposed Research to the Field
My proposed study, which seeks to examine how narcissism contributes to antisocial behavior in men, will be of significant value to the field of psychology. While many scholars have investigated the relationship between narcissism and antisocial behaviors, most of the studies seek to establish whether there is a significant relationship between these variables. However, to the best of my knowledge, after establishing that there is a significant positive relationship between narcissism and antisocial behaviors in men, no study has further investigated how narcissism contributes to antisocial behavior in men. Thus, this is the research gap that this study seeks to fill. By examining how narcissism contributes to antisocial behavior in men, the study will help in understanding the source of antisocial behaviors in narcissistic men.
Significance of the Proposed Research to the General Public
My proposed study will also be of great value to the general public. The suggested research will be important to the public because narcissists and NPD patients do not seek therapy since it does not suit their current image and because narcissistic leaders interact negatively with their subordinates. Understanding various narcissism symptoms, such as arrogance, a lack of empathy, and narcissistic qualities, would help people better comprehend narcissistic people. Additionally, it will assist workers in comprehending the narcissism of their leaders and creating the necessary plans.
Significance of the Proposed Research to Participants and/or their communities
Lastly, this study will benefit the participants of the study and their communities. The participants of the proposed study will be narcissistic men. Therefore, the proposed study will benefit those who are affected by NPD at the lower end of the narcissistic spectrum by providing different therapy modalities and dos and don’ts for NPD treatment. Thus, this will allow the communities that they live in to better handle narcissism and its contribution to antisocial behavior.

Significance of Getting Involved in Political Campaign
Political stability is an essential element that every nation needs for proper running of the government, economic development and maintenance of peace as well as unity. It is not only critical in national level but also in international and organizational level such as in learning institutions. Politics are sensitive to people’s well-being not only in getting the intended seat or benefiting in any other financial basis but also in building confidence, fighting social justice, taking part in shaping country leadership, chance to know the candidate and to get the challenge of a new experience. It was clear after interviewing some citizens that many of them are not involved in politics, and at the end, the same people speak ill about governance blaming the active leaders of thousand misconducts whereas they had a chance to select credible ones. First, let us discuss the significance of getting involved in political campaigns to a profound extent followed by the impacts of the involvement to peoples’ lives.
Politics are inevitable in the society as people need leaders to lead them, make decisions and guide them on the way of doing things. Therefore, by not participating in politics, one is not only ruining the development of the society but also the personal well-being of the individual members. Many questions linger in people mind regarding why vices such as corruption, bribery and nepotism are common in the society (Green & Gerber 2015). The primary cause of these depravities is terrible leadership, and bad leadership comes as a result of selecting wrong people to represent us at the higher levels. For instance, look at the example of lousy student leadership in a college. The students’ issues will not be addressed in accordance this resulting in dangerous actions such as striking and inconveniences in learning strategies. However, if during the elections all the students fully participated in choosing capable leaders all the problems could not have been experienced.
To cope up with the challenge of lousy leadership people need to be dedicated to the act of participating in political campaigns. It is not possible to judge a person by the physical appearance and the sweet word he or she uses to attract vast masses of followers. Politics involvement enables one to precisely do thorough research regarding the participation and contribution of the candidates to the community (Huddy, et.al 2015). Also, there is adequate time to compare the manifestos of various candidates vying for the same position and end up with the right decision.
In consideration of the given an example above regarding lousy leadership in a college, students may come out in large numbers to elect the prominent candidates, but this is not prudent. The candidate may be famous regarding financial capabilities but does not have good leadership qualities which the community involved deserves. By fluently being involved in politics makes the civilians vote in the right candidates and they are the final beneficiaries of good leadership. Individuals may enjoy the funds and other prices offered by the politicians during the campaigns, but at the long-run, they will be the one affected by lousy leadership qualities. If the leader is there for financial gains and not giving back to the society, strictly do not waste chances by casting a vote for him or her. It is mandatory not only to the present but also the future generation (Powell & Cowart 2015).
From the discussion above, it is of great benefit to one’s life and society at large to participate in political campaigns. A political stability nation and institution always have good leadership, and this comes with the dedication of people to participate in politics. Participating in political campaigns leads to political stability as well as social-economic development in a community. Be the cause of a change terrible ruling in the society as a person and the end joint efforts will lead to perfection.
