Nursing Diagnosis:
Nursing diagnosis refers to the individual, family or community’s medical judgement pertaining to their day-to-day responses to the processes of life mostly those related to their health state. After the medical judgement has been made, an appropriate nursing intervention is employed in order to help in restoring the normal state of the patient (King, Hawley, & Weller, 2008). As such the type of intervention to help the patient would probably depend on the diagnosis issue.
The nursing issue in Kate’s case:
Jake is a child who has the following issue; does not like other children’s company, does not eat like other, likes being lonely and watching movies, does not like talking unlike other, has a weight of 3.5 kg less than a normal 4 year old child, has a feeling of shyness in people’s presence,
Interventions Rationales for Interventions
Review the parenting system that Jake’s mother uses to raise him (Talbot, & Verrinder, 2010). The parenting system contributes highly towards the child’s cognitive development. This happens when during parenting time; the mother regularly tests the child’s learning skills (King, Hawley, & Weller, 2008).
Review the type of food that Sally gives to Jake regularly during different meal times. This enables the research find out the diet that the boy is used to (Crisp, & Taylor, 2009). Jake does not like eating meals during lunch time and in addition to that, he only knows about the packed food that his mother gives to him. There is need to understand the dietary requirement for a four year old like Jake and advice Sally to take responsibility by cooking food in the house and give the boy enough food. The fact that the boy is weak and weightless, it means the boy does not eat meals with the right diet that a child requires.
Review the distance at which the boy is allowed to walk or go to play during free time (King, Hawley, & Weller, 2008). The freedom and allowance that Sally gives her child from the time he started walking and seeing others in the neighbourhood determines the social state of the child. Jake does not socialize with others free through conversation or plays because he is not used to from his early childhood age. Therefore, Sally should identify neighbours that have got children and take Jake there to get used to others (Perry, & Potter, 2010).
Find out the type of people that the child finds time to associate with. This might include the family member, neighbours or friend (Hxolland, Jenkins, Solomon, & Whittam, 2008). The shyness that the boy shows on his face when he meets with older people is because he is not used to sitting in an environment of grown up people. This has hindered the boy from learning what people do outside there. Therefore, Sally should start taking the child to her family members or family friends so that the child learns more about humanity as he grows up (Dillon, 2007).
Review the background of the child’s mother and find out the type of life and family that she grew up in (Talbot, & Verrinder, 2010). The family and parenting style that Sally had while she was young is the cause of the defects made in her parenting responsibility. She restricts her child from a wide variety of meals and from playing with other children. Sally should have learned this child care type from her life experience. In this case, she should be informed that the parenting system she is using has a negative impact on the child (Levett-Jones, & Bourgeois, 2011).
Direct Sally to a parenting professional to advice he on the right parenting system (Perry, & Potter, 2010). A specialist in parenting system would advice Sally of the right parenting system that is required in order to restore the state of her child to normal. These include things such as response to meals, play time and socializing with other people. This is because most of the issue being faced by Jake are associated with an impaired parenting system (Staunton, & Chiarella, 2008).
Direct Sally to go to a specialist in childhood nutrition for nutritional advice as to what the child requires (Hxolland, Jenkins, Solomon, & Whittam, 2008). Since Jake is weightless, it means he is suffering from malnutrition and therefore, there is need of being given meals that supply him with a balanced diet. This is the only way through which the health of Jake can be restored to what a normal 4 year child. This would additionally contribute to the child’s physical development such as height and body size. This would also help the child in getting used to a variety of meals unlike what he was introduced to by his mother (Talbot, & Verrinder, 2010).
Advice Sally to seek for social intervention from the neighbours and good friends (Dillon, 2007). The child requires company of other children of his age in order to learn what other kids do in life. In order to facilitate this, Sally should to a place where the neighbours have young children of Jakes age. This would help the Jake in playing and general socialization which helps the child in social development. When a child develops socially, he gains ability and an urge of playing with others freely and comfortably (O’Toole, 2008).
Direct Sally to a specialist in childhood education to advice her on what should be done to enhance the academic state of the child as he grows (Levett-Jones, & Bourgeois, 2011). Academic intervention would help child in cognitive development and through this the academic understanding level of the child would be high. Ability to read and identify mathematical numbers. This enhances the skills and speed of a child understands (Talbot, & Verrinder, 2010).
Review the family way of life, source of living and other related issues that might have caused Sally’s concentration to an extend of not giving time to her child (Jarvis, 2012). The parenting system that Sally used for Jake indicates that she is mostly pre-occupied by something that is why she intends to buy already cooked food for her child. If that is the case, then Sally should hire a house helper which is experienced in child care to help her in taking care of Jake (Crisp, & Taylor, 2009).
Direct Sally to a professional councillor and advisor who in turn would tell her he role as a mother and the only parent towards the child’s development (Hxolland, Jenkins, Solomon, & Whittam, 2008). There is need to advice and encourage Sally that despite the fact that she has her other roles to play, taking care of her child is also a responsibility and requires concern. In addition to that, she does not recognize the importance of group play to a child. This is the reason why Sally has not taken Jake to a neighbour who has children so that he can play with others. This would have helped in the child’s social development. Therefore, in order for the Jake to develop uniformly, Sally as a mother has to perform her parenting duty in the right way (Dillon, 2007).
Report on the findings:
From the state o Jake, it can be seen that child growth and development of a child requires a lot of parenting techniques which lies within a whole society (Harris, Nagy, & Vardaxis, 2010). Jake’s improvement into a normal state like other children requires a lot of interventions which are; social, educational and medical. Therefore, parents should subject their children to appropriate parenting systems in order to facilitate their normal growth and development.

The Parent Child Center of Tulsa
The Parent Child Center for Tulsa (PCCT) is a nonprofit oriented organization that is found in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It provides diverse services that are geared towards strengthening the family institution and preventing incidences of child abuse and relative neglect. All these activities are provided voluntarily to benefit different segments of the society that suffer the implications of child neglect and abuse. Essentially, this organization seeks to prevent child abuse that has profound effects on the functioning of the society. Respective activities in this regard include public education and awareness creation about different aspects of child abuse, treatment of the affected victims, advocating for the care and assistance of the affected population and treating the affected victims.
Child neglect and abuse is an emergent crime that compromises the ability of the child to function in a sustainable manner. Statistical evidence shows that the rates of these incidences Tulsa have increased over time. Research indicates that children that are abused have a higher probability of assuming criminal behavior in future. Thus fighting this crime is fundamental for societal functioning. By reviewing PCCT, this paper offers useful insights with respect to sustainable living. It cannot be disputed that the frequency and complexity of child abuse has increased in the recent past. Analyzing the key operation areas of relative organizations such as PCCT plays a fundamental role of enlightening the society about possible intervention measures. Thus it can be posited that this would be instrumental in curbing the crimes related to children. It is for this reason that this paper sought to provide an explicit analysis of this organization.
Worksheet 1: Set marketing Goals
In what categories will you set marketing goals?
Participation in programs, services, or events
Enrollment
Volunteer recruitment
Funding
Membership
Sales of tickets, books, or other items
In-kind contributions
Other:
Use the following process to set your specific marketing goals.
Responses to questions 1-3 below should be brainstormed: that is, every answer is acceptable, even if they conflict.
You should make a clear decision on question 4. You may have one or more goal categories. Make copies of this worksheet and repeat these steps for each goal you want to set.
1.What are the ideal results you could achieve?
First, define the categories of exchanges you want to make: funds, volunteers, members, in-kind contributions, and so forth, as listed in the columns at the top of this worksheet. Within each category you may have more than one goal. For example, if your goal category is funding, you might want specific results in major gifts, direct mail, and foundation grants. You might have a second goal category of in-kind contributions, with results specified in supplies, raffle prize donations, and computers.
Now think big: If everything goes perfectly, what could the results be? (A little dreaming is fine at this point.)
Goal category Ideal results (how much of what by when)

2.What argues in favor of your ability to achieve these ideal results?
Think about factors inside the organization as well as those outside.
Inside factors working for us Outside factors working for us
The organization has sufficient resources and facilities
There are enough volunteers to carry out the process
The organization as strong partnerships both at the local and international level
National accreditation by Council of Accreditation

3.What argues against your ability to achieve these results?
Now think about factors, inside and outside, that might hold you back.
Inside factors working for us Outside factors working for us
Lack of qualified volunteers
High price of volunteering
Anticipate low participation because of sensitivity of child abuse
Ignorance with regards to what entails child abuse
Lack of diversified events to promote awareness about child abuse
4.What are your realistic, achievable goals? By when?
Try for consensus on this question.
a. Reflect on the internal and external factors, and then take a quick “gut-response” poll.
b.Discuss people’s gut responses and attempt to arrive at a consensus. If you can’t agree, draft low-end and high-end goals for now.

Worksheet 2: Position your Organization
SECTION A—Check in with your mission
Write your current mission statement here:
Our Mission
Parent Child center of Tulsa seeks to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, treatment and advocacy.
Our Strategy
The three main strategies towards achieving this mission are education, treatment and advocacy. Education: Our aim is to inform the parents and all stakeholders about the activities towards children that constitute abuse. This is attained through providing resourceful literature on child abuse. Treatment- Abused children experience innumerable challenges that have far reaching implications on their holistic functioning. Treatment is attained through therapy as well as nurturing the skills of parents and other care takers to curb the practice. Advocacy- By informing the relevant stakeholders about children at risk of abuse and nurturing the abused children, it is believed that this would help attain sustainable development in this regard.
a. Is the mission clear and concise? yes
b. Does it address the organization’s opportunities, competence, and commitment? yes
c. Does it provide the right direction for the future? yes
2.What changes, if any, should be considered in your mission?
The mission statement is concise and does not need any alterations.
SECTION B—Look at needs and results
For information to complete this section, turn first to your customers and staff. They’re the best sources you have: however, sometimes staff and customers are too close to issues and current programs to see what changes could produce even greater impact. Add some outside perspective too.
1.List the most significant ongoing or emerging needs and opportunities you will address.
Participants are needed to be trained in various issues pertaining to child abuse. Although we have sufficient volunteers, most of them are not well versed with the current trends and specific information about child abuse. There is need to carry out training before the launching of the awareness program.
2.What are your results?
Enhances public awareness about child abuse, trends and implications of the practice and helps to develop a sustainable future population.
SECTION C—Assess the environment to see how you fit in
1.Who else addresses issues within the scope of your mission—both on the ground and on the web?
Parent Child Center of Tulsa essentially prevents child abuse and neglect through education, treatment and advocacy. This is in line with the goals of other organizations such as Child abuse Network, Family and Children Services, Domestic Violence Intervention Services and Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. However, PCCT currently stands out because it offers an integration of all the services provided by these organizations and can therefore be considered an umbrella of all these.
2.Who competes directly with you?
Various profit oriented organizations dealing with family services and relative concerns. Nonetheless their activities are fragmented and do not address the intricate issues of prevention such as education, treatment and advocacy.
3.What strengths do you bring to both collaboration and competition?
Other nonprofit oriented organizations contribute resources to PCCT in terms of volunteers and financial aid. This enables it to carry out its diversified activities with ease. They heavily consult from PCCT because of the resourceful nature of the organization. There is no competition as all organizations seek to alleviate child abuse through different ways.
4.List potential partners and how you might team up with each.
PCCT currently partners with United Way to source for volunteers and enhance advocacy, CASA for children in Tulsa and Child Abuse Network.
There are four general ways your “fit” in the environment affects decisions on positioning. How do things look for you? Check all those that apply:
qThere are opportunities to make a unique contribution, and we’re exactly the people to do the job.
Comments: The ability to offer diversified and integrated services places the organization at the center stage of child abuse prevention in the region.
qIt will be best to pursue results through partnerships and collaboration.
Comments: Current partnerships yield beneficial effects as PCCT benefits in terms of resource sourcing.
qWe need to be strongly competitive to meet needs and get results.
Comments: We are already competitive and look forward to strengthening this to maintain an elevated niche in the market.
qThe needs and opportunities we identified can be better addressed by others; we should back off.
Comments: We have the capacity to address the needs identified more effectively than other organizations.

Epistemology is the study of knowledge development in human beings. Knowledge is the mental grasp of what is factual in life and the reality of what exists around human beings. In other words, knowledge is the ability of a person to be aware of identifying things and items in his locality (Academia colombiana de ciencias exactas, & fisico-quimicas y naturales 1997). According to epistemology, knowledge works under the concepts of reality and their human ability to identify existing features. The awareness of human beings in order to identify real things is what enables them to arrive to conclusions pertaining to different knowledge requiring situations. In epistemology, it is brought out clearly that knowledge is achieved through a successful evaluation of the individual’s perceptions.
Perception, according to epistemological study of knowledge is the integration of the sensory stimulus that is done automatically. Perception is not in any way regarded as a form of thinking and for this reason; epistemology is never affected by the individual’s ideas. In human life individuals tend to perceive things in an automatic and independent manner. It has been realized that the combination of distinctive sensory effects that occur over a wide range of time and then it they are unified into a whole. Knowledge is a laboratory in nature in that when one walks in, he/she is likely to see things of different types, sizes, shapes and forms. This means that with knowledge, people are often informed of different types pertaining different fields/sectors in the whole universe.
Knowledge is never automatic in that in a certain age, one would be informed of a certain thing in life. Knowledge would only be attained by an individual if he/she is able and willing to learn of knew things. The fact is that a person might lack knowledge because he/she has not been thought but still he/she would be having the ability to perceive existing phenomenon. This knowledge might be on what certain things are used for? It has been through knowledge that people tend to specify things naturally. This is because these things have a nature that is specific to them. This sort of behaviour where individuals are able to identify things that exist such as: colour, flammability, rough, solid and other traits of things. Epistemologically, it is assumed that on might be lacking knowledge about something but he might have perceived the existence of those things (Bowling Green State University, Philosophy Documentation Center & Bowling Green State University 1989). There has been an assumption that the knower is closely related to what he/she knows by perception. The knower has an idea pertaining to the existence, look, smell, and other. This sort of identity does not link the knower to what the thing he/she knows about is used for, how it is made? And other related functional details of the object. With the help of identity, which are the concept referring to existing aspects pertaining to particular and those posses’ specific traits that are distinct to other things?
As to factual perspective, epistemology claims that everything exists as something and nothing exists as nothing and for this reason individual only tend to have ability of identifying things that exist only and not those that do not exist in a hypothetical life situation in their environment. Since not even a single thing has two identities, and at the same time one can only identify what exists in his locality, this is what links the knower to what he knows. It is only in the case of an entity that one can have more than one identity, maybe two identities. In the case of the knowledge, it is assumed that what one knows about something that exists is the reality as per his/her perception.
In order for an individual to set objectives about what he/she knows, or the strength that lies within that sort of reality, ideas of different individuals must be compared to one another (Academia colombiana de ciencias exactas, & fisico-quimicas y naturales 1997). One very common mistake that people tend to make pertaining to knowledge is to believe that an individual cannot be objective if that a personal stake is involved in a certain thing that exists. This implies that personal emotions and motivations can necessarily prevent another occurrence from being accurate. This is because everything that exists has its own line of accuracy and it is independent. Since the objectivity of things is the act of conforming an individual’s thoughts as it pertains to reality of what really exists in life. For this reason, it should be open and clear that the above declarations are possible regardless of anything that might come in the way as an influence.
Objective is the act of an individual to recognize reality as the life’s ultimate standard of evaluation. It has been all objective when people realize that all knowledge is about reality. Thus knowledge is used in determining the truth in the hypothetical life situations. Therefore, the objectivity in knowledge as stipulated by epistemo9logy is the act of referencing reality in an attempt to determine the truth that exists in life. Objectivity as field enhances human thought and ideas developed by human being through comparison of human thoughts to reality in life. The main motive of objectivity is to set the standard for validity. Therefore, the main purpose of objectivity can only be achieved in a case where comparison is done under clear and swift identification of objects.
It has also been brought out clearly those concepts of what is true and what is false. These concepts of knowledge about truth and falsehood depend on ideas that are important. This is a standard of evaluation as referred to by epistemology. Epistemology tables the truth about knowledge in that in order for one to know anything, he must have gone through or experiences the components of that specific feature. It has been through teaching and development of knowledge on different things that has brought about scientific methods.
An understanding of the sources and nature of beliefs and thoughts has been applied in different practical fields in order to achieve the targets set by human being in their lives. This knowledge includes the true nature of the individual’s mind, how cognitive functions are enhanced and the Neuro-Linguistic Programming performance in human life. In epistemology the individual having knowledge about something is the subject whereas the thing that an individual has an idea or knowledge about is the objective. Therefore, having detailed knowledge about real phenomenon is subjective and this is the source of scientific methods developed to explain certain existences.
Human beings do have epistemological assumptions but they can be avoided through a number of ways. The individual can learn or go through different experiences and be informed of the truth and through this, they would be knowledgeable. By being knowledgeable about some things that exist in their lives, they would not assume but rather talk of the truth. With the application of knowledge acquired through experience, individuals would tend to make moves in life that are more sensitive and real in that they would not suffer the consequences of epistemological assumptions. Epistemological assumptions are born of human perceptions which are emotional rather than physical taste and experiences. This has made these assumptions less real in actions. Therefore, a alternative which to some extend should be more based on reality should be used.
Modern theories have been highly influenced by the epistemological assumptions that human beings make in their lives. Epistemological assumptions are based on believes that people have developed about what they know whereas modern theories are to be activated by actions. Therefore, the assumptions that human beings epistemologically make have affected the results what people partake modern lives. This can be done away by the act of learning and knowing what is required at a certain time for a specific purpose.
