The instructions for your final project are as follows:

Suppose that Eastern International College is sponsoring a competition to fund an oral health or public health program, and the winners will receive up to $5000-$10,000 to pay for direct program expenses. Prepare an application packet. Your application must include only the following elements:

(1) Cover Letter

(2) Significance: up to 700 words explaining the context for the study (literature review) and justifying its oral health or public health importance.

(3) Program Aims: up to 300 words spelling out the main oral health program goal and the specific objectives.

(4) Program Plan: up to 500 words describing the program you plan to conduct, and explain how you think it will improve the oral health of the target population you plan to select. Provide evidence that the plan is feasible and likely to be successful.

(5) Budget and Justification: one table (up to 300 words) that presents the budget and explains why each component is necessary.

At least 5 citations in APA format are required, from reputable sources such as PubMed, the CDC, Medline, and the American Dental Association etc. are necessary.

In order to ensure that the proposal is well conceived, each student will contact the instructor before week 6 to discuss
the proposal. Although this will not be the final product, it will be used as a guide to point students toward the development of a “fundable” grant proposal.
