Paired recorded presentation – Requirements:
Background:
You are required to, in pairs of two, create a recorded
presentation related to ONE of the organisations below:
• Dacia (cars)
• Burberry (fashion)
• Xiaomi (technology)
In a pair, evaluate and analyse the ways in which this company
has responded to recent macro changes in terms of their
marketing strategy. You can look at existing recent forces that
have impacted the company’s marketing strategy, and you should
look into projected future issues too. However, it is critical that you
incorporate marketing theory and insight into your presentation.
The presentation should cover the following:
(Section 14. breaks down how the marking criteria are weighted).
1. Introduction: Summary statement introducing the company and
the intent of your report, including how this will be achieved.
2. Impact of recent macro changes on the company and its
response: The response strategies may, for example, have
been in relation to branding, international expansion,
segmentation, competitive advantage, consumer behaviour,
communication etc (or any other marketing theory!).
3. Future growth opportunities: Based on your analysis, examine
the potential for future challenges and identify specific growth
opportunities. [Do not spend too much time speculating, this
section is worth only 20% of the mark. 10% for challenges and
10% for opportunities]. Both must be evidenced and well
considered.

Each pair of students will create a recorded 15 minutes’
presentation (e.g., PowerPoint) covering all four topics given above.
