It took time before I settled at Fine food Store. I eventually settled at Fine food Store due to its good services and hospitality that they had. Fine food store offers Sensation Luxury Hampers, Gourmet foods, Wines and Spirits under order. Their fantastic food products are always produced by qualified chefs that come from around the world. They are also supplied by the award winning manufacturers. These manufacturers are endorsed by the leading chefs’ around the world. As the place appears it is the best site that those who are looking for plain, flowery venue then fine food stores becomes the best place. They have a variety of food that suite all the desires of the customers the store always get its customers regularly.

They do their purchases from the quality food suppliers where the very best ingredients are always used like the possible gradients are produced from nature and their quantity is never compromised by the cost. The fine food store was formed by combinations of superior brains and presently is over twenty five years old. It is experienced in the work of retail of the quality fine food. Up to date it has taken over twenty five years. It is regarded as one of the most expanding stores in the whole of UK. It is continuously expanding in the amount and the types of its products to sustain the increasing number of customers. Since Fine Stores is globally known it gets some of its customers from other countries. Customers come from all over the world. They scoured the sourcing of the world’s best adhering to their founding principle of the honest food.

They have for more than twenty five years ensured that their job is to primarily ensure that the customer’s utility are filled and the client leave satisfied. They have range of types of food that suites the client’s lifestyle. I was really delighted when I reached Fine food Stores to conduct my study. I first passed through the gate keeper who welcomed me warmly. I was then directed to the receptionist. After about twenty minute’s explanation of the purpose of my visit and study, I was left to do the research. One thing they warned me of was taking photographs in the company. The reason the receptionist could not give but only insisted that it is not safe. I used my note book at al the time and at sometimes tape recorded especially the interviews. This was very efficient because no information was lost and the records I could review over and over again. This food store offers a variety of foods like;

Luxury 🙁 Gift Sets, Xmas Presents, Gift Baskets)

Gifts and presents: (Valentines, Gifts Organic Valentines, Christmas present ideas., Chocolates, Corporate Xmas Corporate Xmas, Women’s, Men’s, Mother’s day Gifts, Gift Idea’s) and many more plus the delivery services.

Over the recent past they have displayed their goods online and can be assessed through the internet. Their products can thus be bought online and they do the delivery instantly.

Reception and my host;

About two days before my visit I had gone to conduct a reconnaissance in the company as to check whether it can satisfy the needs of my assignment. I called the number that they had given at the entrance. The person who received identified himself as tom. In inquired how I can get a person to carry out my assignment in their company and he directed me to the manager that he named as Joseph. I explained to him the purpose of my visit and gave me the dates as 12/10/09. He directed me to Justus who was to walk me round on that day. I felt delighted and thanked him for the opportunity he had given me.

The store is located in between Circular Qy West and Cumberland Street. I entered through the trinity road and branched left towards Cahill, passed it, passed Cumber Street and straight ahead was Fine food Store. The store has been well maintained and it looks smart. It was build of bricks, and it looked like bit had been whitewashed on the building that were on the left but on the write were painted whit and strips of yellow. It had floors. Numerous lights were hanging on the ceilings of the building. Its location in the city gives it a good strategic place for the customers. Almost all the compound has pavements and this looked clean and convenient during rainy seasons. All the food that are stored are in shelves. The shelves were arranged along the wall and food arranged categorically. It looked smart. The image was good looking and encouraging to the customer if he goes to purchase food. Beverages and most of the foods staffs were also in cool places or ice. This acted as a method of storage for the perishable goods.

Services offered there fine food stores are;

delivery ( to the door if an order has been placed)

storage ( they collect the best food staffs and give them a good storage and preservation)

Entertainments and enjoyments. It is a place where the Christmas Hampers can be obtained, their fair priced and numerous gifts that are available. Due to their low price and better services; they get more customers and as from their record of visitors that I got accessed to; about five hundred people had visited the store in the last month.

Though I could not determine the specific number of the visitors as some of the people were also workers but, there were great number of people that were streaming in as I was there. Most of them were women. I tend to think that women were more in number than men because the taste for the gifts, birthday remembrance is something that is common in women than in men. Most of the customers were as I approximated working class. This I could easily identify as they arrived. Most of them were in private vehicles and smartly dressed. The prices of the food could also not allow the middle class to purchase. Their goods were in packets that might have been very difficult to be purchased by the nonworking class. They do not pass a given quantity and the packets lower than that. In their packing, they encourage the bulk selling than single selling of food. Since it is them that delivered the foods to the customers, all their supply was in bulk. I though it useless to give an order of a single unit. It would be expensive and time consuming.

The nature of the interactions that take place in the store among customers and between customers and managers/workers and among workers

It appeared that there was a good flow of in formation from one level to the other. A good relation existed. According to what I saw it appeased that the mangers and the employees had understanding of one another. It was not of one person rule and others are subjective. All the people that I can in contact with were speaking in English. The common language that they used was English. Fine store is different from the supermarkets in that in this store only food substances fare offered but all kinds of goods are offered in the supermarkets. The treatment in the stories is good and this I could notice even from the remarks of customers. They deliver instantly when one orders and from the best products. They give their number in case any body wants to contact them or trace their location.

Most of the clients had left remarks in the remarks book that was placed fat the gate and offered as one leaves Like Paul’s remark stated “Cheers for the prompt delivery, great service, another customer also wrote,” Really like to thank you again, this is my 3rd order and the products are superb, have told all my friends, big thanks to all the Fine food Stores as well, really happy.

Interview report;

I conducted a short interview due to time and commitments that the workers had. The questioner would take a lot of time and also a bore down as the employers and the employees would not have time to respond to all the questions. It would also raise an eyebrow about the collection of the data and they would think their personal lives were being investigated. The topic of my interview was on the expansion, development and the future plans that the store has. For the good data obtaining I interview five people. I found out that the stores future plan was to increase in size and to expand it customer base. The question of how they are treated and the benefits that the workers enjoy was not well responded to. To me it seemed that although the salary was average for almost all the workers, but they are always over worked and some of them attend late job hours.

Recommendations

a). Fine food stores are situated in a good strategic place and can therefore expand with allot of ease. I do highly believe that given the correct management and leadership, Fine Stores will expand very fast. That the store opens up many branches to satisfy the increasing clients.

b). Though the growth and the fame of Fine Stores have been through, continual success, surprisingly the managers says that they have grown simply through the word of mouth. They further emphasized that the fame and good service that are offered by the company has really aided it in the process of expansion. Hence the expansion of the company has been through the good services that they offer but I would like to encourage the Store to provide an online advertisement to create a large customer base globally.

c) The company should lower the price at which it supplies the food or break the units further to smaller ones. This will enable the low class and people who do not have high income to make orders. The customer base will hence increase and give higher returns. To maintain a high demand of its goods, Fine Stores should try all the means to reduce the competitors that are competing with it. This can be made through an increase in the demand for its goods. People should be mobilized to avoid taking their eyes off the goods and to pay attention to them. They should be educated on the benefits on the company goods.

Advantages/ Benefits that are gotten from Fine Food Stores

They offer the delivery services to the customers no matter where they are located. They should improve both the internal and external communications.

Though the employees are employed when they have passed the interview, the company should provide a further education to maintain a high quality food products. This perspective includes employee training and the associate cultural attitude. Learning and the growth of the organization is foundational by the training of the employees and the employers. For the employers and the employees’ motivation, the company should be taking the workers to other countries and in case a good performance is achieved, they should be awarded. It becomes a bow down in the company when there is no motivation that the company gives to the employers and employees.

There payments can be done even from the credit cards. This gives it a greater advantage as compared to other companies who only accept cash. The tourists and people from other areas countries can easily enjoy the services at Fine food Stores due to this diversity in the payment. They being strategically placed are yet another factor that has increased the rate at which it expands. It is situated in Harrier Road in UK where potential where the potential buyers come. Since they are primarily concerned with the satisfaction of its customer’s utility, it is preferred as compared to other stores. They are to ensure that their collection of food reflects the lifestyle of the clients. They are serious with their businesses. They do the delivery at small, charge that fare affordable to the customers. This might be the reason why there is a rapid expansion in the company s the clients compare the fee they would have paid for the delivery in other companies or supermarkets. It just online shopping and the food delivered instantly. It is comfortable and easy. They can only make this possible by creating awareness that the commodities that are produced by the company are cheap. The managers should get the opinions and the views from the immediate market and see whether it can improve.
