Heterosexism within Physical Education

The paper is supposed to be about your profession first and how the concepts are playing out in that profession, not a paper on the concepts, and your profession is just a side note.

The goal of the reflection paper is to critically examine the materials related to the weekly topics you are assigned, and then apply those themes, guided with a social justice lens, to your future kinesiology field (Physical Education). The Reflection Paper should include 1. An overview of the paper’s direction a. Identify the weekly topic (Heterosexism) you are assigned and discuss why it is important. b. Introduce and define the theoretical/ social justice concept(s), and its connection with your weekly topic, that will guide the paper. c. Layout the direction of the paper. 2. This is where you are applying the assigned weekly topic and chosen theoretical/social justice concepts to your future kinesiology field. a. This will usually come from the research since most are not in their field yet. b. A personal perspective can be used here if you are working in your chosen kinesiology field and have experienced (or witnessed) the issue(s)laid out above in Part 1. 3. Explain a strategy that can be (or has been) enacted to promote change in the context chosen above. Take the time to think about which actions or policies would be (or have been) most likely adopted and can lead to change. This means laying out the what, why, and how.
Requirements: 1. At least one source that I attached must be used and referenced in your paper. 2. Include at least one ADDITIONAL academic source that goes beyond reiterating a definition or duplicating information already provided in the course materials. (can’t be one of the sources I attached) a. Should be dated from 2005-present, or there will be an automatic 5-point deduction. 3. Need to properly reference in-text and reference list 4. Format: typed, double-spaced, one-inch margins all around, and in Times New Roman 12-point font, and within a Word document.
