Technologies inventions innovations that were originally developed for military use

For this project, you will research technologies/inventions/innovations that were originally developed for military use (or space exploration) and that went on to be a part of our non-military lives. You will explain, at a minimum: its development.
Why/where/when/who developed it and what previous technologies may have inspired it?
How it was used by the military and what was its effectiveness. What is the science behind it and what technical improvements did it involve?
What other inventions/technologies it inspired and how it transcended military use to be a part of our lives?
This will be written in 4-5 pages, double-spaced. You will include one picture/diagram to illustrate the technology. You will also include an annotated bibliography with a minimum of 10 citations (and a minimum of 2 academic journals). Each citation should include a 100-150 word annotation summarizing
its relevance to the topic.
For my project, I would like to do it on Night Vision.
