CUH is my school of interest because of the top research in the institution

The CUH is my school of interest because of the top research in the institution and the excellent intellectual and technological resources would offer me the assurance that I would be receiving the most excellent career. The curriculum goals and requirements for CUH education system offer a perfect convergence for precisely that kind of experience I wish to gain. The university is situated in a stunning area which I really loved all the times I visited the institution. Comforting without being restrictive, the institution’s town atmosphere provides a variety of facilities to visit that will help enhance my experience in my field of interest. The physical setting of CUH campus makes it an ideal place to study or just unwind hence offering a good environment while studying. I’m in awe of the very many aspects of the university that impress me. The campus inspired and motivated me because of the large library, the adequate facilities, good professors, and the ideal location. I’ve already been there a few times. The study plan and focus on hands-on practice has really impressed me. I love the institution’s career clubs and would want to join one if given the opportunity. Finally, the way the university is portrayed online and in the media aligns with my ideals, and I’d be delighted to be part of the students in the institution. I am also interested in Chaminade University since I was born in Oahu, Hawaii and I would like to keep it my home.

From the time I was a little child, born and living in Oahu, Hawaii, I had a strong desire to pursue a career in nursing. My interest in nursing in CUH is motivated by their wide range of facilities and resources that will help me achieve my dreams of becoming a nurse. I like the challenge of learning new things which is highly encouraged at CUH. I like the diversity of the nursing course in CUH that comes with the nursing career since there are so many different facets in this field. A strong desire to become a nurse and a dedication to the profession grew over my time in high school and would love to pursue nursing in CUH. Working with patients and their loved ones and assisting them through what may be a tough time is a rewarding experience for me which I would like to gain. My fascination in nursing was sparked by professional nurses and the joy they get from helping others on a daily basis. Nurses have an obligation to stay abreast of medical developments and training so they may offer the best possible care to their patients, there is so much information on nursing field one can get from the research area of CUH which makes be more interested in the institution. I would love to pursue a fulfilling profession that will mean that I work on a project that has a greater impact on other people while also presenting me with intellectual and emotional challenges to tackle that will enhance my experience.

There are a number of key reasons why I picked the Creighton University to pursue a nursing course. The first is the course of study and available resources of the institutions. I looked through the curriculum for all four years and examined every topic, and I believe the curriculum and the availed resources are the best based on my course of interest. The geographical location is the second factor. In addition, I am familiar with the locations and like it much, particularly the surrounding environment is good and there are several real life fields that will help me apply and enhance the knowledge acquired from class. I aspire to be educated in a good institution that I love and feel is ideal for the exploration of my dream career. In the university, there are many top-notch faculty members and I know that a degree from you will open doors for me in the future. I like the manner of teaching and structuring of courses in the university. Lastly, Creighton University’s fees for nursing courses is reasonable. They give accommodation regardless of where a student comes from. There are ready books and other supplies and all these are included in the fees. Their infamous Latin phrase cura personalis which means care of a person is also what matters to me. In Creighton University, they offer a variety of post-graduate APRN certificates. There are several excellent nursing programs. Highly-sought-after nursing staff. The rate of recruitment is also high.

I love playing Tennis. That is my talent and I would like to be given a chance by the University to play and showcase my skills. I have attended Collegiate Camps, I have trained, learnt how to play Tennis and I have met other excellent Tennis players across the country. I have competed and I know I stand a chance if I continue practicing. In Tennis, I understand that physical stamina as well as mental stamina are required. Tennis is a very popular sport all around the globe, and for good reason. Players need to have a lot of endurance and mental attention for this game. For instance when one has to backhand a 200kmph serve, you need to be lightning-fast, physically fit, and nimble as all get-out.

I have been to many competition and tournaments and I have met and impressed different coaches who have tried luring me to join them, even post my High School. I have received awards and certification. I have the passion for this athletic sport. I believe in myself, I believe that I am strong enough to face any opponent on my way. For that I would like the University to consider my talent, help me by nurturing it. I would wish to reach greater heights and I believe with the College’s support, this will be a success. So given the competitiveness of the team and your own abilities in the college, I believe to be the top sportsman.

I have followed the rules of Tennis and I have adapted to my roles and I believe that I am good at it. So I would not like it if my talent dies here.

I have been in contact with people of different beliefs. Beliefs and cultures. For instance I came into contact with people of different religions. What I learnt was, it is until you are aware of your own religion then you will understand others’. They have different cultures, rules and guidelines that they use in their daily lives. They respect the religion so much. Before an encounter with such people, I used to think they are wrong. Actually they are not. I learnt to appreciate their religion and respected their own decisions. Some however, wanted to convert me to join theirs but I stood still to my faith. Such is life, that is why I said, it is until you understand yours, then you will understand theirs otherwise, they will win you if you are not strongly placed in faith.

Misconceptions and preconceptions about persons from other cultures are commonplace. It’s a common misconception that when we’re young, we learn about the world via watching TV and listening to others speak. There was no one who asked to be deceived, thus we aren’t horrible people for getting this. However, if we want to establish meaningful connections with individuals from other cultures, we must first recognize the erroneous knowledge we’ve absorbed.

You may learn a lot about your own prejudices by writing down your thoughts about a group of people. Consider what ideas came to mind and also where you got them after that.

6. If I were to choose a fictional character as my college roommate I would go with The Hydrogen Sonata’s General Systems Vehicle Empiricist. The GSV Empiricist is one of my favorite Culture GSVs. Ten billion people on one spacecraft? That’s unthinkable. That seems like an incredible opportunity.

They were the Culture’s best ambassadors since they were self-sufficient in terms of their social, cultural, and economic well-being. Smaller boats, including smaller SVs, were often built and used as bases by SVs. Popularly, each was seen to be a microcosm of the whole culture, and capable of recreating it if necessary.

Self-sustaining population onboard ships with a focus on comfort were able to staff the vessels they built. As a result of their construction bias, ships were used as staging sites for docked ships and off-ship troops. As an Oubliettionary, I would perform an unusual SV role by putting myself in a state of physical and verbal isolation. The thing more about Culture is that if you’re out and declare you would like to be a member of the community, you are. With all the perks, including a post-scarcity level of life and extraordinary longevity. My advice to Empiricist would be: you know what? A planet is nothing but a waste of time. Let’s go together. And then it’d be like, yeah, cool. I’m sure I can get a few more people to join us!

7. My interest in NYU is because I want to learn in one of the top notch career establishers in the nation. The institution, which has a strong scientific department and good research centers has become my ideal institution for the career I want to pursue.

The motivation I have is from my two best buddies are currently enrolled at your institution. I interviewed them a few times in order to get as much information as possible, including information on the professors, courses, and college life in general. Moreover, I loved their responses on the lectures’ quality as well as interactions between students and faculty members, after-school events, and the school’s administration. My interest in nursing was enhanced as a result, and I applied to the institution because of the universities’ programs which I like.

The reason I chose a particular area of study is because of the motivation I get from my mentors who have deeper understanding and experience in the field. They push me to look into career options in my field of interest. However, the combination of my own research and the assistance I receive from the mentors is what has convinced me that pursuing that particular career is the best choice for me.

I have applied more than once and my decision is based on a number of factors. To begin, I did not obtain the position in the past year, but I came from the first application with a positive image of the institution and a fond memory of my time spent with the faculty members there. While working and strengthening my response skills during the gap year, I decided to apply for another opportunity since it seemed that the institution is the best fit for my dream career experience level and maturity level.I chose to apply to the NYU because I believe in their mission statement, the role they serve in the immediate society, and the fact that I would be pleased to call myself one of their students.

8. I am applying to UP because of their history, their mission, vision and or values. According to people who studied there, the college has a straightforward approach of learning. The school culture is also not complicated, I think it’s clear and I can go well with it. My interests lie in success and I clearly understand that my interests correspond to the college’s strengths. Each school/college loves when their student leave behind a good legacy therefore I would like to apply to UP College so that I have the chance to be taught by experienced professionals.

UP College’s academic objectives and standards are exactly what I’m looking for in a college experience. All of my visits to the university were enjoyable because of the beautiful surroundings. The town-like ambiance of the university gives a wide range of educational opportunities that will help me grow as a professional in my area of study. Physically, UP college is an excellent area to study or simply relax, making it a terrific place to study in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. I admire numerous facets of the institution that I find fascinating. I was inspired and motivated by the enormous library, the ample facilities, the excellent lecturers, and the great location of the college campus. I’ve been there many times already.

9. I would be so happy to become part of this mission because it does not benefit me alone but the entire community. When my people are happy, am also happy. Community development is key, starting from teaching people on social justice to engaging people in different aspects. Thus, there is no better place to start than at home. Learning and self-reflection are essential to being an effective partner in a socialist movement. Understanding the past of a problem can help you better comprehend the present condition of affairs, whether the problem is one of hunger and food poverty, mass shootings, voting rights, or any other issue. Listening to podcasts, watching local news, and reading the newspaper are all great ways to stay up to date on local concerns. Send emails and letters to your local and state representatives to voice your concerns about the problems your neighborhood is facing. Many social media sites have become great instruments for delivering messages to huge audiences from the comfort of your own home. They provide creative solutions for staying organized and committed to vital causes. By that I would have lined up myself well with the tradition of The University of Jesuit.

10. I am able to comprehend the complexities of becoming a patient. As a socially aware and ethically conscientious nurse, it is my responsibility to respect my pledge to maintain the “Nursing Code of Ethics” in my care of every patient. Patients may count on me to treat them with dignity and respect. It is my responsibility to organize and conduct informative assemblies as well as distribute flyers and provide vaccinations. As a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Jesuit university and a BSN degree, I’ll be handing out things like contraceptives and pregnancy tests.

For more than a century, nursing has been rooted in the fight for health fairness and social justice. Racial tensions over rising health care expenses have brought to light our nation’s health disparities and the interconnectivity of everyone’s health. Nursing has a social commitment to care for the healthy and the ill as people, households, communities, and populations in all of these different contexts. Changes in social interactions and institutions may also be referred to as “equitable” changes. Thus, as a Jesuit-trained professional nurse, I want to focus on community service and social justice education.

Academic History

In my Academic History, I will start with the High school I went. This will give a clear understanding of what, where and when I was enrolled. I have studied in Aiea High School. I will graduate in May 2022 from Aiea High School in Hawaii. I have attained a GPA of 4.0 which was marked excellent. Its location is, “98- 1276 Ulune Street, Aiea, Hawaii 96701.”

I also studied as a Pharmacy Technician and earned a Certification through Kapiolani Community College. During my time at this Medical school, I learned about the fundamentals of chemistry, life, and thermodynamics, as well as particular classes on medication treatment, its benefits, and vital patient care concepts.

Work and Community service Experience

My work and community service experience are also discussed below and can give a better understanding. I have listed what I have done, where I have done them and when I have done it. I worked as a volunteer at Aiea District Park Summer Fun also as a Junior Leader in the summer of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. I carried out the following activities.

● Watched & took care of children, cleaned the park & recreation center

● Volunteered from 7 AM- 3 PM, Monday to Friday. For a major portion of the summer.

● Nearly 2,000 hours earned collectively.

I worked as an Extern at a Pharmacy in Salt Lake Shopping Center also known as Longs Drugs. The role played was a Pharmacy Technician. This was in November to December in the year 2021. There, I played the following roles.

● Learn and perform Basic Pharmacy Operations like HIPAA, workflow, production, drop-off, and pickup through on-the-job training.

● Performing and presenting excellent customer service, and how to stick to a schedule.

● Over 50 service hours were earned.

Extracurricular Activities

Serves, rallies, rapid movements, and clever play are just some of the elements that make up a tennis match. All these I learnt in this school and also in Aiea District Park Summer Fun. It is when I realized that if you’re looking for a fun hobby to do with your friends and family, tennis is an excellent choice. To preserve your health, fitness, strength, and agility, practicing tennis is a fantastic option. I also found out that, in addition to its physical and mental health benefits, Tennis has various social and psychological advantages as well. All this were provided in Aiea High School in Soft and Varsity Tennis activity. I have been participating in this since 2018.

The Skills and Abilities that I have are as below:

I am very competent in First Aid Basics: CPR, AED use. I learnt how important it is to keep your cool and swiftly assess the current circumstance during a first AID action by following the ideas below:

Checking on your own and the victim’s safety first. Is it secure to get up to them? (Do you have any kind of safety gear on?)

Finding out what happened and how many people were injured or killed.

Determine the facts of the situation and the ages and numbers of those involved. Is there anybody here that is young or old?

I am competent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Google Docs & Slides to assist in the input of data for higher-ups. I learned and did the following:

To use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to create correspondence, reports, presentations, and other goods.

Clerical assistance for an office, company or a client’s individual needs is the responsibility of a manager

For the customer or company to set up meetings and conferences as and when they need them.

Time-based office labor connected to the departments of finance and administration

To ensure that the front desk gets the help it needs.

By keeping track of and responding to e-mail.

I enjoy working in teams and am comfortable in both leadership and supporting roles. I understood that in order to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work, a team must work together. In the event that one member of the team falls behind, another is ready to take up the slack. Work is done more quickly when it is distributed across members of that particular team, which benefits the company as a whole. As you work together to achieve a shared objective, you will become closer as a team.

Major, Career, Goals

I chose to join a nursing school at ACC and I am currently working on three prerequisite classes and applying to a Licensed Vocational Nurses School. Ultimately, I plan to work as a licensed vocational nurse while becoming a Registered Nurse. I am particularly interested in pursuing physical rehabilitation and pediatrics. At my bachelors and masters level, I majored in Political Science and Library Science respectively. To date, I have not been able to find a kind of Job that would allow me to work comfortably. Librarian jobs are generally scarce and they require one to work not only during evenings but also on weekends. Being a single mother, this is inconveniencing as it does not give me sufficient time to cater for the needs of my daughter.

My mother was a registered nurse and a nurse educator and I really admired her when I was growing up. This is because she portrayed positive values and was able to inculcate the same in us. In addition, she was able to work conveniently and earned enough to support the family. She was certainly a positive role model who was dedicated to ensuring that her children are well nurtured to fit in the current society. I also wish to not only be a role model to my daughter, but to also support her through life. I think I can be able to achieve this through going back to school and enhancing my skills. It is for these reasons that I chose to major in nursing.

My career goals are to work in a field that I love and one that would enable me to reach out to the society. Notably, this has some significant intrinsic as well as extrinsic benefits. The inherent satisfaction and rewarding compensation would enable me to derive the best from my career. Moreover, this experience would provide me with useful insights with respect to nurturing my daughter in a socially acceptable manner. The exposure to persons from diverse backgrounds and who have different problems would be instrumental in enabling me to appreciate different life experiences. In the long run, this will turn out as a lifelong learning experience for both my daughter and I.

Austin Community College offers the licensed vocational nurses program and would therefore enable me to pursue this. Since the program is flexible and takes a period of one year, this is convenient for me. Besides, it is affordable and would therefore not be financially strenuous. The institution has sufficient modern resources and dedicated staff that would ensure that I gain the right skills to fulfill my goals. Besides, the large network that the institution developed would ensure that I am exposed to a diverse working environment through its internship program. This experience would be fundamental in preparing me for the career ahead.

Ethnic-Cultural Group Selection: Asian-Americans

The United States of America has been the leading nation worldwide in cultural diversity. Due to its immense size and diverse heritage, the US has now developed the most complex cultural identities around the globe (Thalmayer et al., 2021). The cultural diversity in the United States has been facilitated by the blending of immigrants from diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities who have moved into America and made America a melting point. Research indicates that diversity in America has been dramatically increasing due to the increased immigration rate. Cultural diversity in the United States has led to the formation of subcultures within the country. However, these subcultures have scattered in different geographical areas as a result of settlement patterns influenced by non-native, regional weather, and landscape differences. Cultural diversity in the United States has been associated with various advantages. For instance, it has led to multiple benefits, such as significantly contributing to the economy by facilitating innovative ideas and contact structures across the globe, and it is significant to include cultural diversity in various sectors. However, since variety in the United States has been discussed abroad, it is based on and ranges from gender, race, sexuality, and political and religious views. Cultural diversity in our country is incredible. This essay focuses on Asian-American as one of the different subcultures that have developed in the United States and that count be one of the various subcultures in America.

The United States is recognized as a strong country, and being born in such a strong country; I count myself lucky since it upholds cultural diversity to top-notch. Recognizing cultural diversity in the country has helped us identify and respect other people’s ways of being that are different from our own, enables smooth interactions, and builds bridges of respect, trust, and understanding of various subcultures like the Asian-American. Asian-American is one of the inter-ethnic group living in the United States that has contributed to cultural diversity. The Asian American culture has shown a dramatic increase in population across the country, and it has been referred to as the fastest growing racial and ethnic community. Research indicates that Asian Americans are more diversified, which is triggered by various values and philosophies. I am interested in this inter-ethnic group because I have less interaction with it in the counseling office. I have realized that there have been issues concerning counseling for this subculture in America because language and counselor ethnicity are the major issues impacting Asian Americans when seeking counsel. According to multicultural practice theory indicates that any individual involved in the counseling process should work in recognition of cultural diversity in order to attend to all people that seek help from them despite being from another subculture.

An established counseling office for Asian Americans is found in the Asian American Counseling Center. The counseling office’s establishment is because there has been a high prevalence of depression and mental health issues among this ethnic group that needs counseling and help people with such problems. Researchers additionally indicate that this center has been established due to increased diversity and the Asian American population. There is a need for efficient and effective mental health services for this ethnic group. This speculation is justified by various reviews that show that Asian Americans are affected by complex depression. This disorder seems to be more multifaceted, thus making the group more heterogeneous compared to other subcultures in the United States (Kam et al., 2019). According to Asian American Christian Counseling Service reveals that Asian American mental health specialists from various Asian American religions began meeting and providing support and consultations to church leaders about how to counsel and manage/control church followers with serious mental, complex emotions, and interpersonal problems. However, after various meetings, what revolved later these meetings was a vision for establishing effective and efficient professional counseling services for people from this ethnic group, both from church and community at large (Asian American Counseling Center on OpenCounseling, 2022). Therefore, after installing this center with a counseling office, effective programs and services were provided that are sensitive to cultural diversity depending on the nature of the community, religious beliefs, and other clientele issues. The center’s development was significant to Asian American ethnic groups because they could access culturally competent counseling services from professional and qualified experts within the region. This means that counseling therapists have been able to provide care despite the inaccurate historical stereotypes and myths regarding the ethnic group since they are aware of how the issue has negatively affected the community. Moreover, through culturally competent care provided at the Asian American counseling center, where counseling offices are situated, the therapist has understood that Asian American is immensely diverse in various ways, and they have not been making assumptions regarding any patient from the community (Gopalkrishnan, 2018).

Research conducted by the mental health department indicates that Asian Americans have the highest percentage of people with mental health issues and need counseling. However, despite Asian Americans having the largest share of people with mental problems, statistics indicate that significant disparities exist in the rates at which each population seeks therapist assistance (Misra et al., 2020). For instance, one out of five people in America experience health issues that need counseling; however, Asians are three times less likely to seek counseling when compared to whites. This ethnic group visits these counseling offices because Asian Americans visit these counseling offices when their mental status has worsened since they fear being stigmatized whenever they visit healthcare units. And due to the fear of being stigmatized, Asian Americans only meet at the counseling offices at Asian American when their mental health condition is a mess and have no fear of being stigmatized (Maeshima & Parent, 2022). This is because talking about mental health issues in the United States has been considered taboo, especially among the AAPIs, which discourages Asian Americans from seeking professional counseling assistance. The reason is that Asian Americans have the behavioral tendency to refuse to acknowledge mental health issues based on their traditional perceptions. Moreover, the failure of Asian Americans to seek professional mental health counseling has been led by a lack of cultural competence that could have addressed the issue of stigmatization among ethnic groups based on their race, gender, and cultural beliefs. And therefore, there is a need to create public awareness concerning the importance of seeking professional counseling at the Asian American counseling center for all members of the Asian American population. to help them get counseling for their mental health issues like depression and reduce the high rate of people being affected by this condition. This is because counseling offices at Asian American counseling center are open 24/7, counselors are available and can be conducted anytime, and an individual can get help instantly.
