Option #1Social Media Campaign

Your friend Peter opened a food truck that sells burgers in a busy area of town. To increase business visibility, he wants to use social media to advertise his new business. He is not familiar with social media so he wants you to help him develop a social media campaign.

Your task is to develop a social media campaign for Peter’s food truck that includes the following elements:

  • Objectives for the social media marketing campaign
  • Useful and effective social media sites for his brand
  • A banner ad that he can use on one or more of the social media sites, or the Internet
  • Social media strategies
  • Metrics to measure the success of the social media campaign

Your social media campaign should adhere to these standards:

  • Include an introduction with background information and a conclusion summarizing recommendations
  • Be 3-4 pages in length, not including the title or reference pages
  • Integrate concepts, terms, and theories from the readings and module content
  • Include at least three academic references to support your work, including one peer-reviewed article preferably from the CSU-Global library
  • Follow the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA Requirements

Technical Writing Proposal

Your group will collaboratively create a proposal for a product, system, process or program for which you want approval from a specific audience (a community, corporation, or other organization). Your group’s job is to persuade your audience to support and implement your proposal.  The only topic requirement is that it falls under the broad topic of sustainability.

Proposals will be 10-20 pages, following the guidelines of the Markel textbook in Chapter 20. You will include at least 2 graphic elements and the following written elements:

1) Summary (briefly, on the TITLE PAGE)

2) Introduction (context, scope, and organization of the proposal)

3) Proposed Program (Plan of Work)

4) Qualifications and Experience (credentials of your team members).

5) Budget (can be approximate; ballpark)

6) Conclusion

7) Appendixes, if applicable

8) Bibliography (sources, at least 5). Please use APA style for the sources.

One member of the group will submit the file to this Dropbox folder with the following title, “Group#__Proposal.docx” by the due date.

Basic Marketing Plan: A Peer Review

For this activity, you will evaluate the effectiveness of social media strategies of real-world products or services.

First, identify the social media strategies of two different real-world companies in marketing their products or services.  Then, compare and contrast their strategies by identifying strengths or weaknesses, and similarities or differences.  Lastly, propose your approach (strategy) to using social media for advertising your own product or service.  Explain your rationale.

  • Post your initial response on the discussion board.  It should be two to four paragraphs (at least 300 words).  Support your explanations by including in-text citations and references in APA format, as applicable.
  • Be sure to review your writing for grammar and spelling before posting.
