The assessment for this module is for students to provide a report that demonstrates their development of appropriate skills and knowledge through the module. Since there is no written examination in this module, the tasks below cover all the learning outcomes of the module.

Task 1

You are a manager of a small London based software company with only 3 other staff working for you.

Please explain four functions of your management responsibilities and mention possible example of actions that are required from you at each step.

LO1, LO3 (800 words)

Task 2

Please provide an overview of the nature of management culture and how this may vary from one company to another.

How does the company’s culture contribute to its success? Your answer should be supported by references to relevant texts, journal articles and/or websites.

LO2 (700 words)

Task 3

Explain the possible communication mistakes which could lead to a company underperforming. Use examples to illustrate the communications’ errors between different level of management and employees of the company.

LO4 (600 words)
