Since it might be difficult to perform a root cause analysis or data mine in your facility, we will focus on HOW you would discover the cause of the quality or safety improvement area at your workplace. Use your knowledge, experience, and this week’s instructional materials to describe, step-by-step, how you would search for the cause of the quality or safety issue at your facility. Also, since we are not going to truly perform a root cause analysis or data mine at your institution, share the content of at least one professional journal article that describe potential cause(s) of your quality or safety issue. This is the second step of your Leadership/Quality Improvement Analysis.
