Individual Global Paper
Investigate a global business topic of interest and relate relevant key concepts of globalization to that topic
Using the topic approved by your instructor in Week 2, you are required to prepare a short paper for a very important businessperson about this topic. Your report should be written in a professional, clear, and concise manner and should demonstrate that you have researched and are knowledgeable about the topic being covered. Use APA format for your layout.
Assignment Guidelines
The paper should be:
-Three to five pages (750 to 1,250 words, not including the title page, reference page, or any graphs, tables, or references that you may feel appropriate to include)
-Double-spaced
-Times New Roman, 12-pt. font
Your paper should include the following sections:
-Introduction: Why you chose this topic
-Background: Introduce your topic. Provide an overview/history about the subject matter. (Always reference your research)
-Interesting/Unexpected Facts: Include at least three things that you learned as part of your research on the topic
-Analysis/Discussion/Controversies: Don’t just describe your topic. Demonstrate some elements of critical analysis. Relate the topic to at least one global trading theory that has been covered in this class
-The Future: This should include your forecast five years into the future; what trends may affect your topic/what your topic may look like. Your forecast should be based on logical reasoning, supported by your research
-References: At least three sources should be utilized. Two of these must be from either a textbook or peer-reviewed research, or sourced from an official government or intergovernmental organization (e.g, World Trade Organization, Bureau of Economic Analysis).
Do not source from Wikipedia or Blogs
As a guide, here are some examples of the topics:
-Taking the NFL to the UK
-Launching a crochet business overseas
How baseball can help Venezuela’s economy
-Why we can’t get a cup of Costa Coffee in the U.S.
-The world needs Chick-fil-A
Avoid selecting a company that is constantly in the media, such as Apple, McDonald’s, Ford, and Facebook.
