Cultural and Personal Identity and Community

Your first task is to list all the “tribes” that you belong to and to consider the importance of belonging to these different communities.

You will then write an extended reflective response where you:

Make a specific claim about how being in different “tribes” affects you.
Describe some of your “tribes” (this can relate to factions within your own family, race, culture, religion, gender, neighborhood, sexuality, sports, political views, attitudes, etc.) then,
Explain how this shapes your identity, concluding with a statement about how this affects your life and how similar experiences affect life in America.
The above should comprise two paragraphs: 1) claim/introduction; 2) description/explanation and concluding statement. End result should be between 1 and 2 pages.
