You are required to write a paper critique on a research article.
You will need to include the following sections:
Introduction

Read the introduction section of the article and write a critical review considering the following
elements:
• Is there sufficient background information?
• Does it describe previous research, including recent literature?
• Is the literature covered appropriate and why?
• Is the rationale clear and why?
• Are research hypotheses clearly stated?
Method
Read the method section of the article and write a critical review considering the following
elements:
• Is the design described clearly? Is the design appropriate and why?
• Can you determine which variables were used?
• Are materials and procedure clearly described?
• Were ethical guidelines followed?
Results
Read the results section of the article and write a critical review considering the following
elements:
• Is there sufficient information about the statistical analysis? Were appropriate statistical
techniques used and why?
• Did researchers collect sufficient data?

Are tables and graphs clearly labelled?

Discussion
Read the discussion section of the article and write a critical review considering the following
elements:
• Are results summarised?
• Did the researchers interpret the results appropriately and provided sufficient explanation?
• Did the results support the research hypotheses?
• Did it discuss limitations appropriately?
• Did it discuss contributions appropriately?
• Did it draw reasonable conclusions?
You can also include a General comments section to address?
• Is the standard of presentation good?
• Is appropriate psychological language used?
• Is the writing style clear?
• Is the referencing consistent?
